“I was building a garage and needed a drawing for the county to approve my building permit. Steve was very helpful and understanding as I was trying to get things updated quickly to get the permit. Steve was able to make all the updates needed quickly and make it look exactly how I wanted for the county to approve the building permit. Very easy to work with, on time and within budget. Steve was fantastic, in fact I am planning on using him again for anther project I hope to put in later this fall or early next year.”

“I hired Joe Roberts and Associates to do some much needed outside repairs, solve a major drainage problem, and create a patio and retaining wall to expand our outdoor living space. I am delighted with the results! Water drainage is no longer a problem, thanks to some very creative and attractive solutions. New chimneys were rebuilt to match existing brickwork. A crumbling retaining wall and outdated patio was reconfigured and has become our favorite place to enjoy the family. Joe listened to what I wanted and then worked out a design that was beyond my expectations, all with attention to details that I love. All work was handled professionally and promptly by Joe and his team.”

After using their skills for a kitchen and master bath remodel in the past, they are teaming up again on our behalf for a downstairs master suite addition. In conjunction with dealing with super-confident subcontractors, their projects are completed in a timely manner. I most appreciate their attention to detail and notifying me if a set appointment with anyone on the project was delayed even 15 minutes later than scheduled. “We contracted Fernando to finish our modular home and make several improvements and upgrades. His timeliness, communications and ability to manage the various sub-contractors was excellent. I have been in the housing business for many years and I am honestly say he has been the most straightforward and easy general contractor to work with in my experience. “I have used this company several times from 2012 through 2017. They have done extensive work for my homes including: installing an entire floor with new wood flooring, replacing/repainting siding on my townhouse, complete bathroom renovation, roof repair/inspection, painting, several small plumbing jobs, and some small electrical repairs/upgrades. I highly recommend this company as they have a very high integrity and conscientiousness towards every job they do, both large and small.”

“Mark Glen and Acanthus Architecture designed our home for us several years ago. Mark was meticulous in his design, with everything well thought out and planned. His attention to detail was unsurpassed, as well as his follow through with our builder and attention at the work site. The Acanthus staff were very professional and they were always available for questions or discussions. From our first meeting with Mark, we were treated with respect and he listened to all of our thoughts and ideas during the planning stage and beyond.
