“We were from out of state and hired Doug after first having hired an architect who gave us nothing but pain, broken promises, and angst for 7 months. By the time we fired the architect, our home had sold, we had no house and no plans for our new one, putting us about 6 months behind schedule. We found Doug and consulted with him several times and within a month we had house plans! This is how it should work! His background and knowledge re: home building was super helpful and when asked, he even recommended builders (we went with one he recommended) and 'lo and behold, our house should be ready by late spring! About 5 months after our plans were completed we called Doug to ask for a change on the front view, and we had it in less than 24 hours. While we hope this is the last house we build, we would absolutely hire Doug for any future work. As an aside, several people (printers, builders, subs, etc.) have seen our plans with Doug's name on them and all have said what a great guy he is. We agree and highly recommend!”
