    “We called around and got several estimates as this was our first time ever having a remodel done. We probably asked more questions than most people but Ryan was super helpful and made sure we understood everything and were comfortable. We were sold with Earthwood's history and previous work! We had them come in and redo our kitchen and I couldn't be any happier with the work they did. From start to finish they went the extra mile and made sure that we knew what was going on at every step of the way.     “I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

    “I had numerous items that I needed completed. Jim completed everything on time, within the estimate he had provided and did an excellent job. If I noticed anything that I had a question about or wanted adjusted he did it without any issue or complaint and if it impacted my budget or timeline he let me know. He was also very helpful in coming up with suggestions and alternatives on how things could be done. I had him work on my barn doors - 2 doors that were on the same track. The barn doors had been installed by someone else and when the doors were together they didn’t hang straight and were only wide enough to just cover the opening, the doors were missing a door stop in the middle, so unless you stopped the doors exactly in the middle there would be a gap on one side or the other. They had also installed guides on the bottom that I did not like as they stuck out into the opening and were screwed to the hardwood floor. Jim added sections to both sides of both doors, so that it looked like it was part of the pattern of the door and was meant to be there. The addition of the sections provided the coverage for the opening that I wanted. He put in stops for both the middle and the end so that the doors would properly stop. He took off the old guides on the bottom and installed guides that were attached to the wall and didn't stick out into the opening. He also filled in the holes in the hardwood floor so that I can't tell where they had been and leveled the doors so that they hung straight. I am now very happy with my barn doors! He also installed knobs and handles on all my cabinets and drawers in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. He listened to what I was looking for, offered me a couple of suggestions on the style and then installed them and they are great. He moved some towel racks and he did a great job. I can't tell on the wall where the towel rack used to be. I was very impressed with how well everything was done and would definitely use him again.”
