Welcome to Austin Media Rooms. Our company was originally founded (under May Audio & Video) in early 2010 through the love and interest of Audio & Visual technology coupled with the desire to provide solutions for our customers. We have many years of experience in residential construction dating back to working on custom homes in 1998 with a builder through many construction science courses while in the architecture school in Texas A&M University. The roots to Austin Media Rooms began in 1992 with the passion in car audio by the owner Matt May. Matt was trained and worked for several top car audio shops and installers starting at the age of only 14. As Matt's career progressed he graduated Texas A&M University with a BS in Psychology and developed a love for solution based sales and business management. In 2010 Matt founded May Audio & Video / Austin Media Rooms LLC combining his hobby into a career. "During my search to create our home theater, I visited many show rooms where I soon learned the sky is the limit when creating a home theater budget. I soon challenged myself to design and install my own dedicated home theater with a very humble budget in comparison to many of the sales associates I spoke with while doing my due diligence. The end result is an excellent looking and sounding home theater which was our first demonstration room for our customers." Our company and our sub-contractors are fully insured, have years of experience and most of all, we do the job correct! Our goal is to maximize your investment in your home improvement projects to provide you and your family years of enjoyment as well as a return on your investment with an increased home value. Matt's previous occupation as Vice President of Business Development with a company servicing both large facilities and end users has given him the knowledge of developing lasting relationships with his customers. Additionally he continues to pursue advanced AV certifications (EST and CTS Certified) to continue to provide his customers with the best products and installations in their price range.
