I hired James and his company, Maryland Home Theater, to design and build me a theater in my basement. He did a great job selecting components for me including screen, speakers, and projector and installed it all very well. He also kept it within my budget. It's now my family's favorite room in the house. I recommend James and Maryland Home Theater highly.

James is terrific. He knows the latest in technology and will recommend the optimal, state of the art components for your needs. Nothing is too complex when it comes to installation. He's also very courteous, and service oriented. He takes the time to show you how to work everything and is very responsive when it comes to follow up questions and service. I highly recommend him.

The details: In January of 2017 James came out and looked at our home theater and sound system. We had just finished a major renovation to our house and were having major issues getting the entertainment system to work. Two other companies had come out and could not get it working. James was a pleasure to work with, knowledgable, and provided us with several options to meet our budget. He installed everything quickly, cleanly, and answered all my questions about using the system.

We worked with James during the process of finishing our basement where we created a large media space, in addition to adding outdoor speakers to the deck and pool area. His ideas and vision for the project were wonderful and his workmanship was impeccable. Throughout the years we've needed to contact him and he's always responded in a timely manner and assisted us with whatever we needed. A true professional!

When we bought our home James at Maryland Home Theater helped us update and personalize the entertainment system that he had installed when the home was built. He used some our our components and added some new components to bring the system to the most up to date options. While we are not very tech saavy, James has been very patient and responsive to any issues we have had, most often resolving things over the phone. We are going to be building a new home and will be using James to design and install a state of the art entertainment system in that house.

James worked on our house on two occasions. We built a new house in 2012 and he installed an entertainment system in our main living area including a main TV, speakers and Sonos, the latter of which was wired to also work on our porch and dining room. He did such a great job that we turned to him immediately when we decided we wanted a home theater. He installed a SI movie screen in our basement with a projector and speakers at that point. He has been a great resource for us, and makes himself available whenever needed. We had a few technical issues that popped up since our original install in 2012 and he is always responsive immediately via his personal phone. He is also great at providing you the latest options and varying price points for systems. The contractors that he brings in for installs are also very professional and friendly. We were looking for a whole house audio system. James educated us on solutions for our needs and gave us options. We never felt like he was trying to sell us a system rather trying to guide us through the process of choosing a system to meet our needs. Once we choose a system, James gave a quote and time line for installation. He even used some of our equipment to save us money. The installation was seemless and professional. Since the installation, I've had questions and sent James text messages. He answered promptly and walked us through the capabilities of our system. We plan to finish our basement next fall and will ask James to design a system for that project.
