After interviewing several builders, we decided to work with Andy & Nicole at Alair Green Bay. To say we were impressed with our experience is an understatement! Our project manager Wendy was on top of every detail and was with us every step of the journey. From planning, to design, to build, the Alair Team was responsive and engaged. Even after our project was completed, Alair continued to support us with the various questions we had that come with a new home. My wife and I decided to work with Alair to build our modern dream home on Lake Michigan in Door County. I am an architect and builder in Minneapolis (From GB originally) and I was concerned that the proposed design may not be executed to my standards in a more remote area of Door County. From the moment we met to the day we moved in and even now (5 months after we moved in) Andy and his team could not have been more enthusiastic and confident. Alair and their team of subcontractors executed fairly complex details using stone, timber, reclaimed wood, steel and lots of full height windows flawlessly. We recently had Alair complete a full renovation of our main level. We are extremely pleased with the result and would highly recommend their services. We were always informed of which trades would be on site that day and would receive an email the next day as to what was completed. The whole team was great to work with. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was done correctly and that we had peace of mind. Our water heater burst (unrelated to construction) and Brock came over after hours to help us. Wendy would always respond at the drop of a hat to any text we would send or question we would have. She kept us on task so that everything stayed on schedule. Nicole was essential in guiding us when picking everything from the countertops to light fixtures. She would let us know if she felt something would not work or look the best. Andy’s design was exactly what we envisioned and we now have the home we wanted!

Alair recently completed a total Master Bath remodel for us. We were extremely happy with the experience from start to finish. The process was very easy and the communication was outstanding. The on sight people were very professional and of high quality. We will definitely be using Alair again for any remodel projects.

In short, we had an excellent experience working with Alair on our home remodel. To do it all over, we would choose Alair! Read on if you’re interested in a detailed explanation for our review. When considering a remodel on our 75 year old home near the historic district in downtown De Pere, we were guided by a trustworthy family-friend to choose Alair. Our aim was to transform our sweet cape cod into our forever home. From the beginning, I knew we were in good hands. Nicole and Andy listened and demonstrated their care and expertise for getting the project right. We were so impressed with the way their designer Jill brought our vision to life with her drawings. She got it better. We’ve been back in the house for months and are still in awe of how right it all is. Then we met our project management team. Wendy listened and understood what we were hoping for. She was able to fill in the blanks when I could not. She, Brock, and Kevin were present throughout the remodel - greeting crews when they arrived, helping complete various tasks, and adjusting when changes came along. They were professional and jovial. They were patient and caring. We lived on site throughout the project so we met the different crews who came through for their stages of the remodel. Several crews commented on their preference for working with Alair because Alair is organized and for their manner for getting the job done right. The Alair team treated crew members with respect. In the Rule of Threes, shelter is necessary for survival. Alair helped us honor this house by echoing what were its original materials and design elements. It was not easy and they kept their promise of accomplishing it. When we return home from the hustle and bustle of our lives, we are delighted, relaxed, and comfortable. We will thrive in our “new” old home. We are forever thankful for everything the Alair team has done for us.

Alair Homes was wonderful to work with on our remodel of a lower level space. From the initial contact through to the project's completion, the process was actually a lot of fun, and no idea I'd expressed was too "weird", in fact Andy and Nicole offered ideas and solutions in the early stages of planning that I hadn't considered, to help everything come together to make the vision a reality. Our Project Manager Wendy kept in constant communication with us, maintained a tight timeline, and paid attention to all the small details. Professional and always respectful, and a true partner in the process. The subcontractors that Alair partners with were all, without exception, fantastic and very considerate of my family as we lived through the remodel. I interviewed a number of builders before I selected Alair and I can honestly say how delighted I was with my selection. I was first impressed by Altair’s detailed planning process. Other builders bid on the job, promised an early start but did not demonstrate a process. Alair insists on taking the time to give you a price estimate that in the end will be close to the original and they meet with you on a regular basis to review actual invoices compared to quoted invoices. The Alair project manager is always available and on the job, they have your back and hold sub-contractors to performance and high quality standards. Andy Selner and his team found defects that I would have never initially noticed and held contractors. accountable. Friendly, professional, trustworthy, always available and constantly diligent. You can’t ask for a better builder.

Alair Homes did a major remodel project on our home in late 2020/2021. Working with the Alair Homes team made a very overwhelming project seamless. From planning through project completion they were on schedule and went above and beyond to honor their commitments to budget and timing. I’m so glad we trusted Alair homes with our kitchen remodeling project. Alair Homes helped us with our master bathroom remodel. Andy and Nicole are amazing to work with. We did two projects with them - a significant home remodel including living room, kitchen, opening a staircase to lower level and adding a sliding door to the exterior in our master, all with an updated floor plan. Our second project was a complete remodel of two bathrooms, removing a large jet tub, putting in a beautiful new shower, and updating the floor plans. Through the planning process, they are excellent communicators and extremely helpful with the selections. We hired Alair homes to help us finish our basement. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. From the planning to the scheduling, it couldn't have gone smoother. Also, we came in under budget which was a nice bonus. Now we have the home theater, workout room, and kids area we always dreamed of. Highly recommended!!

We are SO GLAD we found Andy and Nicole. They are the perfect pair: Andy the ultimate tradesman - just as adept at dealing with the hammer as he is with project timelines and an architect's pencil. Nicole is his Yang - whose eye for design provides the style to make the space truly yours. After working with them for our 1st new home construction, I give them the highest rating for consistently exceeding our expectations of a homebuilder. Here's a couple examples: 1. First off, they are two excellent people with strong ethics. They listen. They honor their word. They take pride in their work. They are genuinely nice and pleasant to work with. 2. With a vision, but no lot, Andy listened to what we wanted our house to be and took it upon himself to find us a lot that was capable of achieving our very specific criteria. That included driving >40 minutes around the area to personally look at land to see if he could make it work. 3. Andy has the expertise to recommend where to invest, but just as importantly where not to. Specifically, when I pressed him on the need for a Kohler toilet, he mentioned that other lower grade models had caused issues in the past so this was the lowest grade he'd recommend. However, when it came to faucets that we didn't need to upgrade for the Kohler name because there were other models that could offer the same performance at a fraction of the cost. That was a big Build Trust moment with me that day because he clearly operates with the sole objective of doing what's best for the client in both the short and long term. 4. Nicole was present in each design phase throughout the entire house. There at every single vendor meeting. Every single decision. Never imposing her opinion, but always willing to offer one if needed. She could be as hands off or as hands on as we needed, and when asked her to be hands on, she never hesitated or judged no matter how indecisive or vague we were!! We so appreciated her vision and collaboration. I'm sure there are a lot of builders who can build you a house, but these two build homes, and it shows. Sadly, we will never build with them again because we never want to leave, but I would encourage anyone to contact Alair in a heartbeat. After just one meeting with Andy and Nicole you'll see why.

Working with Andy and Nicole was an absolute pleasure. This was our first home building experience. Nicole attended every vendor meeting with us and brought a prospective the vendors couldn’t bring being involved in the whole project. She was very help and helped us bring our vision to life for our home. Andy, Nicole and their team is responsive, friendly and professional. Being our first time going through the home building process l, e really only had one expectation.....that the entire process would be completely overwhelming. So we decided to start our search for a builder by checking out some homes and builders during the Showcase of Homes event. We were drawn to Andy & Nicole of Alair Homes because of the quality, style and attention to detail in their homes. From the initial meeting, Andy and Nicole started by learning how our family functions, what was important to us and were mindful of our budget. Nicole did a remarkable job of honing in on my style as well as my wife’s style and very impressively blended them together. Remember when I said we thought it would be an overwhelming process....it wasn’t at all. Andy and Nicole simplified each decision. Nicole has an incredible eye for design and narrowed the seemingly endless choices at each subcontractor and narrowed it down to a few. In fact we made all of our selections in a day and a half. During the building process, things were really moving. There were crews of workers at our home everyday making progress, with no lulls in the action. All the while communication was ver good, we always knew what was going on and what was coming up next. Four months went by before we knew it and we were ready for our big reveal. Our entire family was excited to see the finished product. Well, we couldn’t believe our eyes. Everything came together perfectly into our incredible new home. It was everything we were hoping for and more. All in all, if we were to do it over again, we wouldn’t do anything different. We were blown away by the care we got from Andy & Nicole at Alair Homes. They delivered the home of our dreams on time and under budget. We would recommend Alair to anyone!

My husband and I were immediately drawn to Roc Building Solutions by their personal touch and low-pressure atmosphere. After talking to several builders, we knew we had found a good match for building our house by the way they took time to get to know us personally and work within our budget and constraints. We tend to be pretty indecisive, so having a partner like Nicole to help guide our selections was a huge benefit. We also came to rely on Andy’s experience when making difficult decisions about the building process. Our other main reason for recommending Roc is their commitment to the quality of their work. They promptly addressed any questions or issues that arose throughout the process, including after we moved in, ensuring that everything was to satisfaction. A colleague referred us to ROC after having an excellent experience building their family home. They worked with us not for us attending to meticulous detail as though our home was their own. Communication was thorough and timely. Workmanship was exemplary. This was our retirement home so budgeting was enormous priority. Andy and Nicole remained committed to this goal and employed unsurpassed creativity to accomplish this without sacrificing elements or quality. This bears repeating... we were able to stay on budget throughout the entire project. We were able to incorporate unique pieces such as a vintage milk house door for our pantry, a library table with a custom concrete counter and sink for the guest bath, and even our great grandparents farm bell hung from the rafters to personalize our space. We gave them the rough idea/design for our unique barn door system and stair rails which Andy then not only crafted but perfected. We were able to evolve from the raw blueprint to create the feeling we were going for... modifying the tray and beam orientation, creating a unique granary style ceiling for the kitchen and even making last minute changes in a portion of the exterior to drive the design home. Andy is an extremely visionary, skilled and creative craftsman and Nicole is insightful and organized with a design eye and valuable input that completes the picture. ROC collaborates with subcontractors that are quality people and professionals who uphold the same high expectations. The results are far from cookie cutter... a house that became a home before we ever stepped through the door. They listened and made our plans come to life all with an honorable business style that is unique and entrepreneurial in the home building sector.

When My wife and I decided to build a house, we started by purchasing some books to get an idea for a floor plan, we then toured the Showcase of Homes in our area looking for a builder, all of the homes were very nice so it was hard deciding who to choose. We then talked to a home builder based on a relatives recommendation (not ROC ) , for various reasons it did not work out with this contractor , He did not seem flexible at all and we just felt it wasn’t a good fit. Our banker then recommended ROC Building Solutions. From the moment we first sat down with Andy and Nicole we felt at ease, they helped us out with some floor plan issues and we felt that both Andy and Nicole really understood the style we were going after. Working with Andy during the construction process was almost stress free, we were kept up to date on the progress and he worked with us thru the minor glitches and inevitable change orders that come with building a custom house. We couldn’t be happier with the end result of our finished basement and renovated Master Bathroom. Andy and Nicole were so great to work with. Deciding to have ROC Building Solutions design and build our dream home was the best decision we could have ever made. We had been introduced to Andy through a friend who had ROC build their house. We were told Andy and Nicole are honest and hardworking people that have a tremendous ability for building one of a kind homes. To say that we were nervous building a home was an understatement. You hear the stories of how it is a horrible process and so stressful. We met Andy at one of his showcase homes. We just fell in love with the style and the different touches that were done to the house, and it was something in our price range. We are an older couple who never had a NEW home. We decided to build a new home and after talking with Andy we knew he was the builder for us. When my husband and I decided we were going to build a home, to say we were intimidated by the process would be an understatement. We had heard so many horror stories about blown budgets, projects taking much longer than planned for, lack of communication, surprise costs, etc. So we really prepared ourselves for a long and frustrating process. However, we were lucky enough to have been recommended to ROC Building Solutions by numerous people right away. Everyone raved about what wonderful people they are and what incredible style they have. And upon our first meeting, we knew they were absolutely the right choice for us! I own a home business and therefore had very specific needs for a portion of the house. I filled Andy and Nicole in on this prior to meeting with them in hopes that they could think about options that would work within our budget, and still include everything else we wanted in our home. And at our first meeting they proposed a solution that was completely perfect and had never crossed my mind before. They truly customized our plans entirely for us to suit all our needs. We met with other builders as well just to make sure we were going the right route and they all completely ignored the needs of my home business. Not to mention, their plans didn't have nearly as much character to them. ROC's homes simply stand out in style. Choosing ROC to build our home was one of the best decisions we've ever made. The entire process from that point was not only stress free, but it was so much fun!
