We met with Mr Tariq and Mr Asad as we were evaluating between building or buying a house. After meeting them, we were completely convinced that whilst the process might be longer and more involved, that was the way to go, because we would be in good hands. It was almost 6-9 months before we even bought the land and right through the buying process we had their complete guidance, despite not having signed the contract for the home building. The whole home building process with its various facets from choosing structural engineers to architects etc was made to feel like a breeze thanks to their constant guidance and support. They truly dealt with the entire process as though they were building a home for themselves. There were times when I would say some small correction could be ignored but they made sure there were absolutely no corners cut. We built the house in probably one of the most challenging times – during the pandemic where everything that could be taken for granted was brought into question. On the one hand the supply chain issues, the other price escalations and availability of people not to mention us as homeowners constantly wanting to stick to the schedule. Both Mr Tariq and Mr Asad dealt with the entire situation with such balance and took the bulk of the load of the challenging environment on their shoulders. As we got to know their approach and work ethics better, we felt more and more comfortable to defer to their decisions with regards design etc and at the end of the process I can say without any doubt that after sharing our broad expectations and preferences, it was best to leave the details of the execution in their hands. They built us a most beautiful home that we had not imagined and will always be grateful that we found them with our home building process. The team at ASTA besides their extreme attention to detail and professionalism is extremely approachable, always available and more patient than one can ever expect. Having them execute the house and their constant guidance was the absolute best decision we made in our home building process and I would unequivocally say, we were most lucky to have them by their side. We chose ASTA Homes to build our dream home among several "Build on Your Own Lot" type builders. We could not have been happier with our decision. We felt comfortable working with them from start of contract negotiation until the very end of the home construction. They are very good at guiding you along the different construction phase so that you never feel overwhelmed by such an enormous endeavor. Communication is excellent since ASTA Homes tries to limit the number of projects that they are willing to take on so that they have sufficient time with the homeowners. They are usually very accessible when there are issues. The level of attention to detail is exceptional. This gave us a comfort feeling that they are building the best quality home in mind without taking short cuts. It has been a year and there are no issues with our home beside minor cosmetic issues with new home, which they will take care of during the first year mark. After a thorough evaluation, we hired Asta Homes to construct our custom home in Oakton, Va. The plans were prepared by our architect and we were seeking to construct a high quality home that would remain comfortable and low maintenance for many years. We could not be happier with our decision. The barometer of an excellent custom home builder is the overall building experience they create for you, their integrity, responsiveness, flexibility, budget control, and of course the quality of the home. Asta exceeded on all fronts and approached the project as if they were building their own home! Building a home from custom plans can be a very stressful experience for most, but it does not have to be that way. Selecting a builder who has your back during the entire process is perhaps the most critical decision point. No unpleasant surprises for us however, even eight (8) years later!
