We have worked with Blackline twice - the first time on a complete kitchen and living room remodel and the second time renovating our bathrooms. From the moment we met Sam we knew he was the contractor for us. He expressed confidence in his services, his ability to help us and even gave us design ideas. When the Blackline team discovered the many hidden problems within our home throughout the renovation process, Sam personally called and walked through our options. Through both projects we worked with Sam's amazing brother Sergio, as our project manager and we could not have been in better hands. Sergio patiently answered countless questions in person and via text/email throughout our projects, gave us advice on other professionals we could use for other services and even personally came over to put the finishing touches on a part of our project. The Matus family is truly one of a kind. We are lucky to have met them and feel so fortunate to have had them complete our renovations. Our home truly looks like it could be in a magazine now! If we ever go through with a new build or addition, they will be our first call.

Highly, highly recommend this company for home improvements. They renovated 2 bathrooms and painted the upstairs. Very professional and respectful. I never felt uncomfortable having the workers in the house and they were so nice to interact with about the projects going on. Always willing to answer our questions. They started the project at our assigned time and worked till it was done. Not many delays and so helpful with ideas when renovating the bathrooms. When there were concerns at the end of the project, they immediately sent the correct person to assess and everything was corrected quickly and above our expectation. We will definitely continue to use Blackline Building for any home improvements and painting. They also painted our dark kitchen cabinets a soft white in 2020. They still look so wonderful and have brightened up our kitchen so much.

I sit here in my beautiful kitchen writing this review for Blackline Building LLC. I could not be happier with the finished product. This was a larger kitchen remodel. We took down a dividing wall between our living room and kitchen aiming for an open concept floor plan. I have included a few pictures of our completed renovations. From the very beginning Sam Matus, owner, was professional, helpful with design ideas and a great communicator. It was important to me to be included in all decisions and communication. As a family, we continued to live in the house during renovations which made It even more essential that things ran smoothly. Sam and Sergio were amazing to work with. This is an honest, fair and high quality company. They stand behide their work and all there subs and employees had great work ethic. Everyone showed up when they said they would and did their best every day. I felt comfortable with the crew working in my home while we continued to live there. They were also respectful, neat and clean. Our dream kitchen is complete and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

Blackline Building was a true godsend for our home renovation. We started with another local architect/builder that didn’t work out. Then we met Sam Matus. From day 1 we knew we had the right person and company for us. Sam and his team where professional, friendly and highly skilled. They were involved with the design and construction processes. Sam and his team listened to our wants and needs and offered value-added suggestions that helped us design a complete renovation that was aesthetically pleasing, functional and cost efficient. We are so thankful for Sam, Sergio, Haley and Kirsten. They are like family to us now.

Sam and his crew are the best! They helped us through a major kitchen renovation by providing their expert advise and workmanship. Sam’s crews are always on time, professional and care about their work. They worked through the challenges of a remodel always keeping the customer in mind. One of the best aspects of Blackline and Sam is that they have quick access to all the trades. From drywall, to granite, painters, plumbers, electricians, etc. they all displayed the same professionalism and high quality of work. Aztec painted our house and Blackline remodeled our kitchen. Both companies managed by Sam Mattus. We highly recommend Sam and his crews. We couldn’t be happier!!!!

I am so pleased with my new shower! Sam Matus and his hardworking ,trustworthy crew transformed my ugly,boring,fiberglass shower unit into a beautiful work of art! Sam was so helpful with expert guidance when choosing the tile and accessories for the project. Making me happy with my choices was always his goal. The tile was expertly cut and applied and his crew even had to re-sculpt and paint a wall section that was found not to be level. All work on the project was done neatly and efficiently with great respect to me, the homeowner. I would definitely recommend Blackline Building for bathroom remodeling.

El Jefe A.KA "The Boss" did a great job on my home improvement project. I gave him the task of turning my screen porch into a man-cave and boyyyyy he did an exceptional job. El jefe took time to understand exactly what I wanted and he came up with some insightful ideas which I loved. He knows he trade well... I give him props. The project was originally suppose to take a couple of weeks but due to some unforeseen contingencies that were not within anyone's control like the snow and the holiday break, the project took 3-4 weeks. We originally projected the cost of the project at 12k but it ended up about ~ 2.5k above budget (these things happen). Eitherways I was very happy with the completed project. Thank you El Jefe.

Sam and his team finished my bathroom renovation quickly and professionally. When we ran into a glitch which is typical in a reno, the issue was resolved quickly with careful thought, reasonable upcharge and actually enhanced the job more than originally planned. Sergio is extremely talented and gifted with the details for high quality craftsmanship. The team works well together and their enthusiasm for making the client happy is apparent. My floors look amazing, Bona High traffic is the best and they did an immpeccalbe job of making the old match the new.
