We built a custom home with BOLD 4 years ago. We recently decided to make some minor renovations to our home. The Bold renovations team did a great job and knocked it out quickly.

I am an architect who frequently works with Bold Construction on renovations and new construction projects. The entire team at Bold is exceedingly open to collaboration - lending their years of expertise to execute wonderful projects. They are very communicative, listen to their clients' needs and wishes, and create spaces that are both functional and beautiful. Most importantly, they work closely with Architects to create something personal, unique, and cost-effective.

We were very pleased with Bold Construction’s work to renovate our attic into a home office. They were diligent, professional, and highly communicative. But I was most impressed with the fact that they came in well under budget. I’ll definitely use them again.

Can a house give you peace and joy every time you walk in the front door? Well, in our case, BOLD Construction and our architect, Abbie Lee Roehm, did just that. This is even more impressive b/c of the insanely hilly terrain on which the house is built (think “Swiss Alps”). Jason Dell, co-owner of BOLD Construction explained in painstaking detail how the civil engineering / water management plan would keep our house safe and snug, which it has. Additionally, we were impressed by the big picture vision for our home as a Modern Mountain Retreat as well as the attention paid to the smallest detail. Did I mention that I love the shower drains? And the outside view from the staircase? Who thinks to make these things beautiful? BOLD Construction, that’s who. Now having lived in this home for a short while, I can see both the quality of construction and the foresight in construction planning that it took to bring the house to life—things we would never have even thought of in a million years. It just comes naturally to BOLD. We still get great advice and support from the BOLD team – when we undertake some small design project or another to make the house even more special. Deke Burch and others are always ready with ideas, suggestions, and connections to great tradespeople. We feel very fortunate to call this house our home.

The Bold crew built our custom home for us 10 years ago. This was the first house our family had ever built and they were great to work with through the whole process.

When it was time to build our modern dream home, we had the opportunity to meet with some of the Triangle's most creative architects and finest builders. After working closely with Phillip Szostak to design our home, we entrusted our project to Chris and Jason at Bold Construction. The Bold team took on the complex project and transformed a steep, rocky hillside into our modern masterpiece. From helping us with custom selections and high-quality finishes to value engineering and accommodating multiple unique requests, they did an exceptional job in bringing our project to life. We are thrilled with their precision execution and feel blessed to have worked with the Bold team.

Bold Construction did an outstanding job on our top to bottom remodel, turning our recently purchased house that was built in the early 90s from one that had little curb appeal to one that people go out of their way to drive by. The interior result has been equally impressive as visitors to our house, especially those that had been inside pre-remodel, are stunned by the transformation and the word "wow" is used frequently. As someone who is experienced in corporate/industrial construction I have high expectations for the contractors that I pick, I don't expect perfection but I do expect good communication, responsiveness, a commitment to quality and willingness to address issues when they occur. Bold checked the box in all those area. Bold also did a great job managing the subs during some pretty challenging times with pandemic ramping up and starting to affect raw material lead times. Very pleased and highly recommend Bold!

If your marriage can survive building a house, then you have a great marriage. If your builder builds an amazingly well-built house that impresses you engineer friends, AND you are still friends with your builders afterwards, then you have hit the jackpot. Not only did we end up with the house of our dreams, we have a team that is in for the long haul. These guys will show up in the middle of the night to help with anything we need, literally. Even after we closed the project and everything was finished, the Bold team answered their phones at 11:00 at night and sent help for something I screwed up. It doesn’t get any better than that. If you are looking to build, look no further. You won’t find a better team.

From beginning to end, they gave us the freedom to design what we wanted, while keeping us on the rails and in budget. Owners Jason and Chris, and the entire Bold team, are personable, accomplished, and they made our home building experience fun. No small task. You couldn't make a better choice to build a new home. We built our custom 5 bedroom home with Bold and they exceeded all of our expectations. It's our dream home and we absolutely love it. We had such a great experience that we have used Bold Construction to build our new home. It was when I was looking for an ideal lot for building a new home in my current community that I met Mr. Dell, the president of Bold Construction. After having had a short talk, I felt that he was such a reliable people whom I could trust in one year ago. Now, a year later I have my beautiful new home built up by them, I feel that I was so lucky that I met him and contracted the project with them. In the planning phase, they patiently led us and incorporated our desires and wishes with many of their own professional ideas. They have allowed us to modify the home design many times until we are 100% satisfied. The project started on time and was completed in the time frame as originally planned. During the construction process, it was smooth from the start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the results. Actually, a few small mistakes did happen, but they were always available to answer questions, discuss any of our concerns, and corrected all mistake promptly without extra cost. In addition, they went beyond their responsibility in several situations. For example, we changed our exterior wall color three times. The first time, they applied stucco on the exterior wall to the half way using a color chosen by ourselves, but we did not like it when we saw it on the wall since the color looked different on the actual wall compared with that on the paper strips. They give us second chance to have chosen another stucco color. Unfortunately, we did not like it again when they completed the stucco work for the whole home. They were so kind to let us choose another color and painted the whole home at last using the third color we truly liked, without any extra cost! They also give us opportunity to meet regularly to review the expenses together. Due to their regular and timely accurate accounting, they made me aware of cost promptly and keeping me informed and under budget. All their employees and contractors were very professional, kind, courteous and helpful. We now have a beautiful new home which we dreamed of and very proud of. From our experience, we truly believe that Bold Construction is professional, trustworthy and very reliable. We will highly recommend Bold Construction to anyone building a new home without any reservation.

Building a house from scratch can be daunting and we had our challenges!. But, using boating analogies: Having Jason as the Captain , Beau as his First Mate and Anna as the Cruise Director, it was smooth sailing! I found the best builder and team and thankfully, since I am a very busy person, all I had to do is pick them! This wasn't my first house that I have built from the ground up, so I have dealt with other builders, and BOLD is at the top of my list of The Best!

Bold Construction added a garage and trellis to our existing home. The workmanship and the attention to detail were excellent. The project was late because of weather related issues in the fall but the final product both met and exceeded our expectations. Bold is a conscientious builder who takes customer satisfaction seriously. They care about the quality of their work and it shows in the final product.

Chris and Jason are excellent to work with. Chris is extremely efficient and prompt with his communication. Bold is helping our local charter school upfit a current building as our school continues to grow as well as consulting with us on a longer term building project for our permanent location. Very professional company to work with... all BOLD associates have a work ethic that keeps the customer's wants & needs in the forefront of each project. I used Bold for two jobs. One was a substantial Bath, Kitchen, Den renovation. The other was a kitchen remodel. They did high quality work on both jobs. Their staff is expert, easy to work with and very helpful with suggestions. They have a small job supervisor which is helpful, because he is available even when they are busy with larger jobs. Job changes were handled readily with just email confirmations. I will use them for future work.
