““You can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse” - Maybe not, but Doug Okun and Associates did succeed in turning what was once attic space in a Victorian house into a third floor modern suite. Indeed, by moving walls, and re-configuring space, he managed to create two bedrooms, a bathroom, a sizable closet and a gracefully curving staircase from the second floor. What had been dark, even claustrophobic, rooms became the bedroom level of a two story condo unit in a very desirable location in Somerville, Massachusetts. Doug worked closely with his contractor to see us through an at times arduous permitting process. In every respect he was indispensible.”

“David and his company did our house remodel. The one thing I didnt think was going to work he explained would be the most cost effective and it turned out beautifully. He came up with ideas and if we wanted any changes he was professional and incorporated them into the master plan. He was available for questions and they finished ahead of schedule and we knew what everything cost and if there was a change it was immediately brought to our attention. We are thinking about doing our kitchen over and will use him again. I have nothing but nice things to say about him.”
