Upon completion, our development company won the annual juried award for Best Apartment Property. This was a significant project. It lasted two years. At its peak Chris had over 250 men working here. They were from Denver, Baton Rouge, Memphis, Florida and other places as well. The budget was $12 million. Our project was budgeted as a best-standard quality build. That is not what Chris delivered, however. The contemporary features and designs wow our multifamily tenants every day. It has a luxury feel. A post-construction, stabilized appraisal fetched a figure 30% higher than we were expecting and just about all of that is thanks to Chris. “We hired Melton to remodel the first floor of our home, including a kitchen, bathroom, family room, and dining room. This was the first time we had undertaken a project of this size, and they made it as easy as it could have been. During the design process they acted on all of our feedback and iterated until we had a solution that we were happy with, and they also came up with ideas that we would not have otherwise thought of. Construction went super smoothly, and the project was finished within a week of their original timeline. They also left the job site very clean at the end of each work day, which I really appreciated (thanks, Scott!). No delays, on budget, no complaints from our neighbors. Can't ask for much better than that. If you're leaning towards going forward on a project with them, I would recommend asking for a second round of opinions (from the design/construction side, not just sales) on the initial cost estimate that they provide. We encountered a situation where the that first "ballpark" quote was significantly lower than the subsequent estimate for some elements of the work, leading us to reduce the project's scope to meet our budget. Ultimately, they are really nice people to work with and they care about delivering a great product. We have no regrets in choosing them for our project, and we'd do it again.”
