“Attic Renovation--Vermont Renovation and Remodeling worked with my partner and I over the course of a year to design and build out our 1880s farmhouse. The project had many working parts including moving a set of terribly steep stairs and building a new stairwell in a different area of the home. We were hoping to renovate the original and unused attic space of our home and add a bedroom and bathroom. VTR&R offered several designs and worked with us to plan for our current and future needs. At the end of the project, we have finished with more than we could have imagined! Their staff offered creative solutions to small areas (built in bookshelf to hide old stairwell entry), they were committed to refinishing and saving the original hardwood floors, and added touches original to the old home that makes the house feel authentic and fresh. In home, their staff and contractors are vetted and great to work with. Since we often work from home, working hours often overlapped and there was always communication and warnings for any changes or requests to keep the renovation moving without disruption to us and the job timeline. During very few hiccups for such a large project, Bill was sure to communicate options and be proactive with solutions. “My wife and I had been deliberating for some time about where we might want to focus our limited resources on improving the living space of our small house. An architect drew up a sketch of our house with a large 12x18 porch. We put it on our refrigerator and looked at it every day. After looking at their website, I decided to contact Lewis Creek Co. to see what it would take to make our drawing a reality. My inquiries were met by Mark, who was very professional and courteous. Mark and I got together to discuss our plan along with costs, timelines and strategies. After that meeting it was hard to imagine anyone else building my porch. Mark was awesome, super friendly and down to earth. In order to meet the realities of my budget we agreed that Lewis Creek would frame out the porch,roof and stairs, as well as securing the roof with Ice and Water Shield. I agreed to take over and finish the roof, trim and decking. This was perfect because I had some skills but attempting to do the whole project myself would have been very difficult or even dangerous. In addition, they opened up the possibility of having someone come back to assist me if I overestimated my abilities and needed some help. The project got started with the arrival of Mike and Rob--also great guys. They worked with a very deliberate pace and conducted themselves professionally at all times (my wife and 2 small children were home most of the time they worked). It was a pleasure to interact with them; they seemed extremely comfortable answering my questions. Both guys demonstrated a strong work ethic. This was a very positive experience.”

“I have had Peregrine do several remodeling projects for me in my home and they were wonderful: respectful,neat,on time and with incredible attention to detail. Our project manager was always available to me and always dealt with my concerns immediately. When my partner and I decided to build a high tech,beautiful medical office-I really wanted to find a company with those qualities so I asked Tim (the owner of Peregrine) if he knew of commercial builders with a similar philosophy and Tim was interested in working with us! Peregrine did not disappoint: our office was technically very difficult (special laboratories and air requirements etc.) but Peregrine finished it on time and even helped us bring the budget to a place where we could manage it. The office itself is absolutely beautiful-every patient and vendor who walks in the door comments that it is one of the most spectacular physician practices they have ever seen. And-true to form-when we have questions or small issues that we need help with, they respond immediately. We loved every minute of working with them-the project manager was able to make suggestions that were really helpful-things that we are noticing now that we hadn't thought of in the building phase, we had weekly meetings with Tim and Jaret to review issues and they always provided a great summary of what had been done and what needed addressing.
