Anecdote: A grumpy neighbour called the city, incorrectly claiming that the builders were improperly handling asbestos. The inspectors showed up in hazmat suits ready to shut down the build, and instead ended up complimenting Mike for having followed exactly the right procedure. Anecdote #2: A few years ago, we had Mike renovate our basement utility room. During that renovation, he realized the upstairs subfloor wasn't properly supported, and came to us with a plan to cheaply address that problem, explaining why it was important. Mike has a keen eye for substandard work, and a determination to make sure it is corrected. Mike does things the right way, but not just one way. Many, many times we had requests that weren't straightforward, and Mike would figure out a way to make them work. We love what he did with our home, and we'd recommend him to anyone who wants a diligent, cost-conscious, and creative contractor.”

“From our first meeting with Grainger in June of 2013, and our later meeting with Allison, we were confident that Rockwood would be our builder and that we would be in good hands. They took our wants and likes from a questionnaire and built us our dream home. From the first rough plans, to the finished product they were right on with our tastes and how we wanted our home to look. Our Project Manager, Brad, was in regular contact with us and we were welcomed onto the job site to see the progression. Brad is still looking after us, getting the final tweaking complete. Our designer, Sarah, made our finishing choices as easy as possible by breaking the choices down into sections so we weren't overwhelmed all at once with all the choices to be made. Sarah and the designer team did a great job in coming up with ideas and letting us go from there.
