He always listened and respected our wishes during the entire construction process. He was present whenever we needed advice, to talk through a complicated decision, or to walk through his process. He was ALWAYS available. He is the reason that our house, built from the ground up, is now a home and built to perfection. He never stopped to ensure we were happy, and that he was completing the job to our expectations. My husband and I have been working with Frank on the design and completion of our new home. We are in the final stages of the build and putting the finishing touches on our home. Frank Laskey, of Capital Construction, is the ultimate professional contractor. He will implement your ideas into the design, and if you need ideas, he has good ones. The materials used were top notch, as was the workmanship. This is an energy efficient, certifiably green home. He took down only as many trees as necessary to build the house, so we are on a nice private wooded lot, and the house cannot be seen from the street. If you need hand-holding through the process, he is there. He is always available by text or e-mail, and will put you at ease. This project had to overcome COVID, and the timeline was hardly delayed. He goes above and beyond. He is honest and budget conscious. He oversees his workers, and even those I had contracted with directly. This saved us money, and kept the loan amount down. We have gotten compliments from all who enter our home. My husband and I are very happy in our new home, and Frank was there to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. He did not disappear when the job was done, but he takes pride in his work. He is very caring and a true gentleman. This is the 3rd home we had built, but the only contractor we would recommend at all, and we highly recommend Frank.

After putting out a call for proposals to do a complete external renovation of my mother’s 43 year old house, Capital Construction’s offer was clearly superior. Why? First: determination to get it right. No matter how large or small the issue, Frank was determined to produce a result we would be happy to live with for decades to come. Second: a willingness to try exotic materials and unique designs. We really wanted to use an uncommon Brazilian hardwood on the front of the house in a very unusual and contemporary style (which I personally designed). It took a lot of effort by Frank Laskey to perform the engineering design to ensure a durable yet aesthetically pleasing concept --- something his competitors were either unwilling or unable to do. My mother’s neighbors continue to complement the newest addition to the neighborhood. Third: while ours is a modest-sized ranch style home, Frank always treated us just as importantly as his other concurrent projects that dwarfed our house in size and opulence --- we never felt like second class clients. Finally: his direct staff and sub-contractors on site always took great care to ensure quality workmanship. We had the impression they were working on their own home! My mother loves her “new” home, and feels that it is better constructed now than when she and my father first built it!

Frank and team renovated our "fixer upper" which had a few "DIY" owners previous to us. Needless to say, it had a few interesting issues that needed to be resolved. The ranged from poor insulation, a bathroom straight out of the 70's and another bathroom with a tub three feet above ground level.. Frank thoughtfully listens to all your ideas and helps you weigh all of your options to make sure you get the right results the first time. We would not have had such great results without his help in picking materials, fixtures and general construction knowledge. Thanks Frank!

You couldn't ask for more from a general contractor/project manager; expertise, communication, budgeting, friendliness, knowledge, detail, all of the highest order. If you've worked with others that are not qualified in these areas, you'll know how critical they are to a positive outcome in any project. Without hesitation I would hire him for future projects, as I have in the past. I have taken great pleasure in working with Frank Laskey's Capital Construction. In 2011, we bought one of his properties in Louden Ridge and in that transaction, acquired a beautiful residence project which we then completed. In 2014, we worked with Capital Construction on several projects, all of which have turned out beautifully and to our utmost satisfaction. These include: - Design, installation and integration of granite veneer at varying levels around the entire first floor and walk out basement elevations - Design and installation of an extended deck with footbridge across the back yard to a hilltop fire pit beyond, with red cedar trim, newel posts and railings, and a stainless steel horizontal cable system in place of traditional vertical balusters - Design and completion of approximately 1,700 SF of finished, walk out basement with the same look and feel of the main living space of the first and second floors of the home I have witnessed first-hand repeatedly that the attention to detail and work quality to be expected from this contractor is "unnaturally" high. Over the past 20 years, we have built or finished three homes and completed many other projects with a variety of builders and contracts from western NY to the lower Hudson Valley region, to the Saratoga Region. Most of those experiences ranged from fair to very good. The only one I would rate as resoundingly and consistently EXCELLENT is Frank Laskey's Capital Construction. At a certain point in the development of an ideal client to service provider relationship, one begins to focus on the quality of the relationship and the expected outcomes and the concept of price as the primary decision criteria fades. We have passed that point with Capital Construction and cannot imagine working with another firm for a construction project or, heaven forbid, trying to GC anything on our own. I HIGHLY recommend this company to any prospective client interested in hiring a residential or commercial building/construction company they can count on for supreme quality and an excellent project outcome.
