We love our house. When we first started contacting builders about building a home in rural Somervell County, we ran into two obstacles - "That's too rural" and/or "Your house isn't big enough to be worth it". When we talked to Chris Thomas, he had no problems with either. Before we retired, we handled insurance claims. I handled mostly plumbing part failures and my wife handled commercial and residential construction defects, so we knew what to look for. One of the other things that caught our attention about Chris Thomas is that he has worked with the same subcontractors for years. This is very important because while your home builder may be very knowlegable, more than likely he won't be pouring concrete or swinging a hammer. We were also able to be on site for most of the construction process and we were very impressed with the quality of the materials and workmanship of the subcontractors. The office staff is very knowledgable and always helpful. Kudos to Julia for putting up with us. Overall, we are extremely happy with the work Chris Thomas Custom Homes did for us and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If we ever needed to build another home, this time we would only need to make one phone call.

When we decided to build in the Granbury area I asked a banker friend to recommend a top notch builder. He recommended Chris Thomas. We had Chris build our first home in 2007. We were impressed with the subcontractors he used, but most of all with Chris and his commitment to immediately correct any issues. When we decided to build a larger home and move full time to Texas, Chris Thomas was the only call we made. During the build we discovered a major subcontractor had done some hard to see substandard work. One call to Chris and he was on site and simply said ,"it will be redone and it will be right" - no stalling, no excuses. That is why I recommend Chris Thomas. We have been in our home for 3 years now and we love it. The quality of the build is evident to everyone who walks in the door.

Long distance oversight of a 2,500 sq ft home construction on our part and next door neighbors comments indicated they wished they had used Chris Thomas Custom Homes (CT) to build their house. Great communication carried over from initial planning through completion. CT and subcontractors made suggests that we greatly appreciated and approved in the construction of our home. Total cost was slightly over budget, BUT we agreed to the modifications and cost increases before execution. We would definitely us CT again.
