We are very happy we chose Cope Grand to build our amazing home on Seabrook Island. This is a family business with a great reputation and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. Building a custom house for the first time can be an overwhelming adventure but we had a great sense of confidence and trust in these guys from the beginning. They were extremely thorough, patient, and responsive. There was great communication through the entire process and lots of support from their entire team. Cope Grand has excellent subcontractors – we especially loved their trim, custom cabinet and paint teams - but all were great. We also really appreciated Barbara who was always super helpful with selections and Chris who was excellent at helping find extra savings on materials. We wanted a very nice home but we also wanted to be smart with the money and were very impressed with the value we got from this company. They were extremely helpful in showing us ways to accomplish what we wanted in the most cost efficient way possible. Adam and Ben are amazing people with a real passion for excellence and for their customers. They always made us feel like we were important and a priority. We especially loved their attention to detail and refusal to cut any corners or “let something slide” if it wasn’t just perfect. If they ever noticed something was not 100% right, they would have it corrected immediately – things that we may never have even noticed! In fact, they went above and beyond for us many times throughout and even after the building process. They take their work very seriously, but they are also just fun people to be around, and you can tell that building relationships is just as important to them as building great homes. We would highly recommend Cope Grand to anyone considering a custom home build. The craftsmanship is top notch, the attention to detail is amazing and the communication and customer service is five stars awesome.

The team at CopeGrand Homes is fantastic! We were referred to Adam and Ben and are so thankful that we have crossed paths. We had started the process to build a mixed-use building in a challenging location of Charleston and it was very difficult to gain traction. When we connected with Adam and Ben it was like handing the controls over to an expert and our stress levels dropped a lot. They are so knowledgeable about building science and loved getting into the small details with me all while keeping the big picture in mind. My wife and I met with several builders when we first decided to build a home. We chose Ben and Adam because of their earnest enthusiasm for our project and their down to earth attitudes. They helped us get our lot inspected prior to closing to ensure that it would be ideal for our build. They guided us step by step through the home building process from the design phase, to the selection process, all the way through to completion of the house. They ensured that the house structure was of the utmost integrity and overengineered certain aspects to avoid future problems (balcony floor drains). They were accommodating to all of our requests and always open to hear our ideas for any modifications throughout the build. They worked hard to address any concerns we had throughout the process and always found a satisfactory resolution. The result is a home that we absolutely love. The CopeGrand team is so fantastic to work with that we call them The Dream Team. We have worked with CopeGrand on several renovations as well as home additions. We are currently underway on a complete restoration/renovation (including a 2-story addition) of a downtown home built in 1880. The project is incredibly full of challenges, but instead of running into problems, the CopeGrand team encounters “unique opportunities” to find solutions. No challenge is too great - even when navigating complex BAR requirements. Their attention to every detail and commitment to taking care of their clients are second to none. They have also exceeded our expectations by making the process fun.

Adam and Ben are the consummate professionals. We worked on our job remotely so we did a lot of video calls which required a lot of schedule juggling. CopeGrand always did their best to make the meetings work or let us know when better times for them would be. In addition, CopeGrand's insights during the project design process were invaluable. They worked seamlessly with our designer to provide real-world pricing impacts to some of the decisions we were making and brought a real builder's eye to the design process. CopeGrand also coordinated with a number of outside agencies and vendors (e.g., geotechnical survey, boundary survey, topographic survey) and that process was very smooth and professional. I would highly recommend and endorse the team at CopeGrand Homes!

We worked with CopeGrand Homes on installing a new sump pump in the crawl space under our house in Downtown Charleston. The house is historic, the walls thick, the crawl space difficult to work in, and the problem of how to discharge water when all of Downtown Charleston is low required some creativity. CopeGrand did a masterful job of design and implementation - combining engineering skills and thought process, hands-on craftsmanship, and thorough budgeting and client communication. We'll look forward to working with them again.
