Vernon Leslie and his team really know what they are doing. Vernon is highly creative and knowledgable about all aspects of construction. He is THE BEST General Contractor in the Pagosa Springs area! In addition, Vernon uses only the top rated subs on his high end residential construction projects and the efforts of his hard work show up in the completion of his beautiful homes. I am a professional designer and furniture stylist. I have worked with many contractors in my 30 year career. Vernon is by far the best. I had not met him or knew of him before my project so really it was a leap of faith on my part.. Vernon is not only an excellent get it done contractor but he is creative and has a great eye. He is proud of his work and that is extremely important in this business. He wants perfection and he expects it from his subs. He is in to the details. CHVL has taken the word "custom" to a whole new level and exceeded our expectations in doing so. We had a vision and Vernon Leslie has not only brought that vision to life, he's also improved upon it. We have a challenging lot on a very steep hillside that had the opportunity for killer views. Vernon has captured them all while building a beautiful house that is well engineered. He has been very thorough in his approach to building our structure and also has a creative streak that has allowed our home to not only be functional but also uniquely beautiful. He has skilled and dedicated subs that take great pride in the outcome of their work. Vernon and his staff have also done an outstanding job of staying on top of costs so we can make good decisions on whether we want to stay on budget or splurge on an extra. Unlike some of the building horror stories we've heard of, our project has been alot of fun. If we were to build another house, we would use CHVL again without hesitation.

Vernon Leslie build a agricultural building for me this past summer. He and his subs did a fantastic job on the quality of the construction as well as staying on schedule. They kept the construction site clean, kept me informed of what and when they were doing each portion of the construction, and handled the changes I made in an excellent manner. I would use them again and recommend them to any one building a home. While my building was a relatively small job for Mr. Leslie, he treated me as well as the 6000 square foot homes he was building. Vernon Leslie has a wealth of knowledge, building experience, and met our extremely short deadline due to winter. When we asked that he use a particular siding that he was not familiar with, he made the effort to research the product before he agreed that it was a good choice. In fact, he does research on many items, such as insulation, to provide the owner with an energy efficient home. He has an open book policy with regard to budget. He made the time to sit with us to go over the expenditures. One of the best attributes for our project was Vernon's development of ideas for options. When he explains things, he draws pictures such that you understand. He works well with all the various subcontractors as shown by their continuing to work with him on many projects. Our project was a revamp of an existing home. He has built many new homes in our area with a wide range of budgets. Vernon is well respected in our community as one of the top home builders. He is down to earth, straight forward, and honest. He takes pride in his work and you can rely on him to do things right.

Vernon and his people were a blessing for us , Our dream home in Colorado was about 2 months into planning and construction when our builder passed away unexpectedly . Vernon stepped in and we never looked back. Our son who is an architect in Dallas and designed the home was very Impressed with Vernon and his crews. The job site was always organized and clean. Tina , who does the billing and coordinated the job was always available and took time for us anytime we were in town. The draw sheets were always clear and easy to understand , I felt both she and Vernon always had our best interest in mind. We love our house ! If we built another home we wouldn't consider anyone else. Vernon is a great family man, I have the utmost respect for him and his family
