Dovetail completely rebuilt our home in 2013. The crew was great and conscientious! Our neighbors loved them. They worked well with our specific owner requests and helped us to get the home we had hoped for. We really appreciated their skill and flexibility.

In 2013 we hired Dovetail to do an extensive remodel of our mid-century home. Dovetail impressed us during the bidding process by giving us just the right amount of detail to help us understand what it would take to bring the design to life, they presented the bid with a confidence that made us feel like we could trust them with our home and while the bid was one of the highest, it the most realistic. Throughout the process we got to know everyone on the team from the framers and subs to our superintendent, they were all smart, conscientious and fun to work with. Our project manager was absolutely outstanding. Communication was flawless, we followed a detailed schedule so we knew what was happening daily and what to expect the following week. We always knew where we were in the budget and they were very open with their billing. Dovetail completed the job on time and on budget. We had a beautiful design from Graham Baba Architects and Dovetail brought the drawings to life. Our home is more incredible that we could have imagined. Dovetail built our home in Seattle. This was the first time we ever built a home and it was a great experience. They helped us understand the cost implications of our choices and worked with us to get our pricing to our target budget prior to starting the project. Dovetail's spreadsheets and weekly updates, helped us track our budget to keep it on track. The admin part was great..... The CREW - they were fabulous!!! We were able to come by the site almost every day for a status update and to tweak any changes or answer any questions. Their ability to communicate any issues as they arose, allowed us to make quick decisions, not losing any time to delays. AS a result they completed the project on time and within budget!!!!!!!!! They used subcontractors that they have longstanding relationships with so they were able to execute the job in a timely and very professional manner. The quality of work was of the highest levels. Their cabinet shop did all of our cabinets and closets which is beautiful. They had never worked with our architect, Prentiss, but they were able to execute to plan and work out any issues quickly and easily. WE had a very complicated house with tricky components that they executed very well. Warranty - can't say enough about their after completion work. A couple of things have developed as a result of summer and winter expansions/contractions. I would make a call and they would be here to fix it at no charge within a day of the phone call. Their service is terrific! I am including pictures of the house while it was under construction so you can see how they put some things together.
