New Home Construction Companies in Elmhurst

“My project with D1 recently ended and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Everyone I worked with from Brian in design to Mabel in architecture and to Linda in architecture design to Peter my project manager, were extremely helpful with the design process, easy to work with, and patient with me. Their Builder Trend site makes it so easy to do everything and communicate with the team. I did a first floor remodel and after interviewing many firms, I chose Design First because they thought out of the box and reconfigured my kitchen in a space I never before considered while also taking into consideration design elements I wanted to incorporate. I credit the wonderful experience I had to my project manager Peter. He is first class. Not only was this my first remodel but I’m also a first time homeowner and Peter answered every question I had, was patient when I changed my mind on windows or wanted to see other options for range hoods, and he provided great recommendations for tuck pointing that were out of the scope of our assigned project. During the demo and construction stages I was out of the country twice and Peter was always available to talk, he sent me photos and messages of the work in process to make sure I knew and was happy with what was going on. It was a relief to have this constant communication because I was able to change the shape of am arched doorway while abroad which I love. When problems or hiccups arose, as they will, Peter was straightforward, responsive, and got things done. When my range hood was blemished, Peter and Keith were the first to say it’s need to be redone and were just as unhappy as I was. Knowing that they expected the same outcome I did showed me they cared about the quality of the finished project as much as I did. Peter also took care of minor cosmetic touches and walked me through some system maintenance issues. Peter is great to work with because he is responsive, direct, friendly and easy to work with. I trust Peter and have already recommended him to a good friend. When I decide to tackle other projects I will contact D1 and Peter. Thanks so much!”

“Michael was an amazing, flexible partner. There is nothing transactional about how Michael operates: he is a true partner to help address even the unexpected issues in your home with an open mind and in a helpful, support way. While there are many firms and contractors out there who can do quality work, I think it's rare to find someone who is really in it with you and has your back. We had the work done while we were out of town for the week and every day, we received detailed updates with before/after pictures and full videos on the progress. That's the difference in working with Michael and his team! On top of of all this, the quality of work was exceptional. We had major work done on our house including completely refinishing our wood floors, painting all walls, and the most challenging of them all - refinishing all of our cabinets of which we have many. Everything looks brand new and as we list our house for sale, I am confident that the work done will substantially increase the value of our house with maximum return on our investment. I would recommend Michael and his team as the go to for any work that you want to do on your home. They are the best in terms of cost, quality, and support. Thank you so much Michael!”

“Allen Drewes of Old Towne Custom Builders worked with us when we purchased an older home that had been flipped and had lots of hidden issues/problems. Allen is professional, reliable, knowledgeable and honest! He and his team of expert building professionals assisted/guided us through a maze of locating what was wrong in our home and the best way to fix it in a cost efficient manner. They took on the most frustrating of projects, that other companies would not take the time to work on, with a positive attitude, patience, and perseverance. Everyone we worked with was so helpful and knowledgable and I would not trust anyone else to work on our home in the future. I highly recommend Old Towne from everything from minor projects and remodeling to building your new dream home. We continue to hire them for new projects and highly recommend them.”
