Our experience with the Garner Team was truly outstanding. We worked with them for both the design and construction of our home, and everything exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, their attention to detail puts you at ease. Everything we were imagining in our home was incorporated into our design and before construction even started, they gave us an exact vision of the final product and we couldn't be any happier with the results. The construction phase couldn't have been managed any better. Their communication through meetings and their portal lets you know where you are in the process at all times. Everyone at the Garner Team made building a home enjoyable, and I wouldn't think twice about recommending them to any of our friends or working with them again.

I met with several top builders in the area before selecting Garner Homes. Several of my friends at work used Garner and provided very positive feedback. Trey Garner and his team were very professional from start to finish. We built our home from a distance so we were only able to check on it every 2 - 3 weeks. I was amazed at the attention to detail and to quality materials and construction. No corners were ever cut. They built the home like they were going to live in it themselves. If I had a concern or observation it was quickly handled without question. I was most impressed with the team's responsiveness after the home was finished. Any issue that came up, big or small, was immediately addressed. They were most concerned that "I was happy". We have designed and built several homes over the years and our experience with Garner Homes was top notch. The project took a bit longer than we expected but that is typically the case when building a custom home. At the time, ours was outside the norm for Garner, being that it is a very modern, clean design, but they rose to the occasion. It was also a long-distance project which can be scary, but the 'portal' they use keeps everyone accountable and the project moving seamlessly. We have recommended Garner Homes to friends and will continue to do so.

Honesty, Integrity, and Excellence describe Trey and his team. His communication was outstanding, with a portal that allowed daily/weekly updates, communication on specific ideas or changes, and a well organized record of an ENORMOUS amount of details and changes. We actually had FUN building this house. His team was spectacular. I would personally like to give Kudos to Louis, our Superintendent, Amy who helped us with design changes, (and just about everything else), Natalie who managed all the finances, and Jennie who helped us get started. This core team was so POSITIVE, helpful and always available to answer the thousands of questions we had. His architect, Jim Terrian, designed the PERFECT layout for our dream home. Nicole (NR Interiors) did an amazing job with Interior design. AL Briggs' Cabinetry -- WOW! Josh Maldonado's landscaping team did an awesome job with our hillside lot. Emily from Ferguson's helped so much with lighting, appliances, etc. We LOVE this house. It's truly a dream home. Thank you to all involved.

We hired Garner Homes to build our retirement home. The project started in 2009 and ended mid-2012. We were very satisfied with the process from design and through construction. We were living overseas in the middle east during the entire period and the design and construction process went very smoothly with no major surprises. The cost came in on budget and the house was completed on time. Trey Garner and his team were extremely easy to work with and very, very professional. I was a project manager during my career and I have not seen a better team.

This project was our ninth home, but first to be custom from the ground up. They were with me from the beginning, bringing ideas before their competition that matched up with my ideas - they built OUR house, with all of our ideas and concepts. All the staff was a pleasure to work with and very professional. Their process was very organized and clear through the use of their web portal for communications and approvals. The construction superintendent was very knowledgeable and brought highly qualified contractors to the job. The house is built very sound, was turned over on time, budget overruns were all my ideas, and the punch list was very small with only minor issues. Would I build with Garner again or recommend Garner Homes - you bet!

We hired Garner Homes to custom build our 3200 sq ft home in Canyon Lake, Texas. Everything they did was with the upmost quality in mind. They also were extremely open to our suggestions and wants and were able to make all of our "unique" requests happen. After interviewing several high quality custom builders, my wife and I chose Garner Homes in Boerne, Texas to build our dream retirement home. We had been designing our home for over 6 years with our excellent architect and friend Jim Terrian of J Terrian Designs. Trey Garner, the owner of Garner Homes understood exactly what we were trying to achieve - a house with classic lines and architecture combining a mixture of south Louisiana plantation, British West Indies, and Texas Hill Country influences. We wanted a comfortable, very energy and water efficient home with high quality, low maintenance materials. Trey was great at listening to us and our ideas and suggesting changes that enhanced the objectives we were trying to achieve; for example recommending changing from a standing seam metal to a concrete slate tile roof and recommending a water leak detection system to protect the beautiful oak flooring in the house. He was very willing to incorporate the many energy efficient upgrades - ground source heat pumps, stand-alone dehumidifier/fresh air system, all foam conditioned attic and exterior walls, Zip System Thermal R continuous exterior sheathing and slab perimeter insulation. The construction process was impeccably supervised by Garner's construction superintendent, Bill Embley, and facilitated and coordinated by their excellent office manager, Natalie Johnson. Bill was uncompromising in paying attention to the smallest detail and ensuring everything was done exactly per our plans. The subcontractors used were well screened and of very high quality. Bill was great about recommending changes and making suggestions to improve the quality and livability of the house. He kept us well informed and updated using email, phone calls, and Garner's Portal which is an on-line secure web site which contain all the details of the project. The web site includes selections, upgrades, financial decisions, questions, documents, and photos. It also kept all (Trey, Bill, our architect, designer, landscape architect and others that we chose) on the same page as to questions and ongoing dialogue and questions. Our house was built while we lived overseas and, between the several visits we were able to make home, the Portal kept all updated on the progress, upcoming issues and selections, up-to-date financials, change order management, etc. Also critical and an important complement to the house was our New Orleans style-influenced courtyard and landscaping. Our landscape architect, John Hackett, owner of Dynamic Environments, listened carefully to our wants and designed and built the perfect backyard courtyard incorporating a beautiful spa, outdoor fireplace, gazebo, and outdoor kitchen contained in a stucco walled courtyard - all trimmed in Chicago antique brick. John Hackett also did an excellent job in designing and constructing our rainwater collection system including early planning and installation of sub-slab rainwater collection piping, meticulously installed half-moon gutters and downspouts, and construction of the 40,000 gallon rainwater tank and enclosure. The whole Garner team did an excellent job of keeping to our budget and the timeline. All changes that we requested were managed efficiently and fairly. Bill Embley was excellent in meeting our time deadline to be in the house for the Christmas holidays - and that was not easy and took constant management and coordination of his high quality subcontractors. All punch item items and subsequent minor repairs and touchups have been handled with professionalism and the highest quality. We could not be happier with our retirement home. My husband and I are now in the process of building a home with Garner Homes. We are not from the San Antonio area but Trey Garner and his team were recommended to us by a local realtor. I cannot say enough good things about this team. We have been working with them for a couple of years now getting our house designed, and working on selections for what all will be in our home. They are extremely helpful from the thought of building, all the way through the design process, and on to the actual building. Trey is a busy homebuilder but always makes us feel like our home is the only one he is working on. Jim Terrain drew our plans as part of the Garner team and he is fantastic! Natalie handles all the details of the selections, finances, and everything else. She is amazing! Jennie, with her friendly smile, is also there to help with questions and making decisions . Lori Caldwell of Lori Caldwell Designs helped with design and selections. She is very knowledgeable and a great visionary. While building we have Jason Goss as our supervisor. He is on the job daily and calls to keep us updated on the progress, and sends pictures since we live several hours away. He is always upbeat and is great in walking us through the process one step at a time. I am a very detailed person and always want to be in the know. I love to shop for a bargain, and Garner Homes has been wonderful in allowing me to ask lots of questions, make several changes, shop for my items wherever I can get the "best deal". They have given me lots of their time even on weekends when necessary. They truly have a great team approach and work together to produce a very well thought out, quality home! I would definitely recommend Garner Homes to anyone who may be thinking of building a home! This has been a very positive experience. In fact, I'm trying to get all of my friends from my hometown to move to the hill country with us, and have introduced several of them to Trey. Hopefully some of them will be his clients in the near future!
