Half way thru our new build. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made choosing Gehan. We should have known from the first week signing the contract. Mistakes during construction starting with just the foundation. How is that possible. Then with framing again. Guess they don’t go off the plans they were given. Don’t get me started with the so called “superintendent”. Gehan needs to pay me a salary for having to go in weekly and tell them how to build my house per the blueprints, because obviously none of them can. And of course, can’t make the customer happy, won’t let us out of contract, and just tell you that YOU WILL close whether the house is correct or not on time. Or we will change you $100 a day till we do. If it’s not right, too bad. We will fix it later. I have no idea how these guys got builder of the year.

Robert in Pearland, TX was very helpful in purchasing our new Gehan home. In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic they worked with us to close on time and were very helpful during the closing process. We have lived in our home for over 6 months now and are very happy with our purchase. Thank you Robert!!

I love my new home and it was build so fast. Aside from minor issues that they took care of before closing, everything was perfect. The process was clear and easy, even for a first time home owner like me. Would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Responsive and helpful construction manager and staff. They were patient with all questions and made the process easy, even after I moved in. I've had no problems with my new home, and am very happy with it and with Gehan.

I purchased my home in Kyle Tx crosswinds neighborhood. I paid a premium for my lot for the privacy. Now a Trail was built next to my house and I would like the 6,000 dollar premium paid back. The sales manager says to talk to the developer and the developer says talk to the sales manager. They tell me that there is a clause that the developer can make changes as they see best for the community yet the lot was sold to me as a premium because it backs up to a retention pond where nothing was to be built. I understand the frustration with the other customer reviews, the problem is that Gehan is not doing the right thing for customers when we have made a life investment.! Yet their website markets that they understand the meaning of buying a home! My issue is simple yet Gehan sales manager refuses to make things right. I just felt I had to share in case you are paying a premium on your beautiful homes.

If you are reading this please do yourself a huge favor and stay away from Gehan. They have tons of bad reviews, especially with warranty. I thought that it wouldn't happen to me in League City and there were just some off situations over the years. Nope. Everything about how they don't care about you after they close is true. I was informed today that Gehan will not be repairing the poor brick job on my house. I was rushed into closing despite not being satisfied, but told that all unresolved issues would be fixed after. Now it seems that is not the case. My brick issues include the following: Paint washed off the back side of the house after rain, different color mortar all around the house with ugly yellow in the front, big cracks all around, and dull brick on the front (hardly any variance). The house is a lemon in the neighborhood. Everyone that has seen it has said that it is a very poor job, including two different brick specialists. When you look at the jobs done on all the other houses in the neighborhood, you see a complete and matching mortar job with correct color variance. I don't know why such a terrible job was done on my house, but it is completely unacceptable for paying 370k. My brick should not have the color washing out from rain on the second week of moving in. I don't know if the brick is defective, but it means in just a few short years the whole house will be stripped and look really bad. My driveway is also ruined. Very cheap materials used overall.
