For over a decade we have enjoyed working with Greenwood Homes team of professionals. We have collaborated with Greenwood on numerous luxury residential projects designed by our studio. I first was made aware of Greenwood Homes when I spent a weekend in a vacation home built by them. I was so impressed by the quality and craftsmanship in the home, I noted the name of the firm when I saw it in the guest binder. A few years later, when it came time for our family to remodel our beloved (but neglected) family home of over 30 years, Greenwood Homes was at the top of my list. Kevin was a valuable hands-on resource from the very beginning, when we were just in the blue-sky planning stages. After understanding what our family wanted for the home, and helping us think through options at a strategic level, Kevin even helped us identify our architectural firm. The Greenwood Team performance, from our project manager to the site superintendent to the accounting office, was impeccable and they were all real joy to work with. I felt as though they truly cared about our project from beginning to end. I only wish I had another custom home to build or remodel, because I would love to work with Kevin and his team at Greenwood again.

We want to register the highest level of recommendation for Kevin Hanna and his team at Greenwood Homes. We started our project with another contractor, because he was (incorrectly) recommended - wish we had started the project with Kevin! He stepped in to our partially completed residential home project at Lake Tahoe after the original builder went into bankruptcy. The home was about 50% complete, or less. We didn’t know him at the time, or otherwise we would have saved a good deal of heartache and expense. The home we built had quite a lot of detail in terms of finish out, and complicated elements. His team was just exceptional in terms of quality of work and ease of doing business. Kevin is a “get it done and do it right” kind of guy. He won’t settle for anything less than perfect. He has a good set of sub contractors that he regularly does business with. We have built 5 homes over our lives, in Texas, Lake Tahoe and Hawaii, and our experience with Kevin was the best. He is honest, a good communicator, and a perfectionist.”

We had a HORRIBLE experience with Kevin Hanna and Greenwood. He and his team made significant mistakes and he was dishonest. I have never written a negative review in my life, but I am passionate about this. His reputation in our community is terrible (we weren’t the only ones who made the mistake of using him). Please save yourselves the aggravation and money.

Started a home build with Kevin Hanna/Greenwood Homes - had to finish with another builder. Twenty months into what was supposed to be a fifteen month build, after I endured obscene overages by Greenwood's crews, Hanna demanded that I sign a new contract paying him all potential builder fees for the rest of the project up front. When I refused, he walked off the job and is now suing me and trying to foreclose on my house. I believe choosing Kevin Hanna/Greenwood homes as my builder was the WORST mistake of my life. If you decide to use Greenwood, I recommend that you have a good lawyer (I do).

I recommend Greenwood Homes. Kevin and his team are excellent at what they do - managing, budgeting, scheduling and building luxury homes. Having designed two homes for Greenwood's construction over the course of one building season, their quality of construction, problem-solving talent, and communications is extremely high. These are all qualities of a skilled and talented team of experienced and passionate professionals. Their execution of my designs is flawless. I am a professional photographer who has photographed the homes of many builders, architects and real estate agents over the years, and I must say that Greenwood Homes produces the highest quality of work I have seen to date. I spend 6-8 hours in each of the homes or commercial buildings that I photograph, and it's my job to seek out the beauty in each home as well as the fine detail work for my images. When I'm in a home custom built by Greenwood Homes, I'm like a kid in a candy store or a lady at a day spa - literally the experience of being in their homes is so enjoyable for me! The details are exquisite, the materials are the finest, the woodworking, stonework and metal work are all absolutely incredible. When I am in these homes I often am in direct contact with the owner who commissioned Greenwood Homes for the building of their residence.
