We have been in our Guidry Custom Home now for nearly two years. We love our home and are very happy with our construction team. Stephen and Joe Guidry built our home in an established neighborhood and were very considerate of the neighbors during construction. Stephen did most of the design of the home based on the thoughts and ideas we presented him. He made himself available as often as we needed him to be. We are proud of our home and show it off often.

We selected Guidry Custom Homes to build our custom home in Lakeview back in September of 2016 and moved in in Mid June following our home being in the Parade of Homes. After having had some rough experiences with contractors, we were a bit nervous but Stephen and his subcontractors were all professional and responsive and the work was of excellent quality. We recommend them to everyone we know who are building a home!

My husband and I chose Guidry Custom Homes to build our custom home. We hired them not only because we were very impressed with their level of expertise and professionalism, but additionally, the level of craftsmanship in the custom homes we previewed was above average. Being an interior designer, it was important to me to have a contractor on board who was not only open to my ideas and attention to detail, but I also wanted our contractor to offer practical ideas from their experience as well. Throughout the process, there was a team approach to achieving the overall completion of the project. Stephen was very punctual and easy to correspond with on a daily basis, which was extremely important to us. We couldn't be happier with our home and are very satisfied with our experience. This builder exceeded all my expectations and consistently provided services above and beyond those contracted. My property was located in an Historic District that was listed as such by both the National and Local Historical Registries. To demolish the existing structure and build a new dwelling involved a year and a half of convoluted, expensive processes that at one time had us interfacing with 7 different committees/departments within the NOLA City Hall! The Guidrys were exceptional and instrumental in securing the necessary permits. As far as the construction, once again simply exceptional, no corners cut. I recommend Joe and Stephen Guidry unequivocally 100%, and guarantee they will do you right. I was very fortunate to find them.

I hired this company and I am so pleased of the work. Stephen Guidry and his family are so kind, helpful, and provided wonderful work. If I ever needed to build a house again I would hire them again in a heartbeat!! Building a house is stressful but they helped me through the whole process and the end results are exactly what I envisioned!!! Guidry Custom Homes was the best choice we have made in a long time. Joe and Stephen assisted us from the earliest part of the project until our final move-in, and we couldn’t imagine doing it without them. At one of our lowest points, when we were even considering giving up on our dream home, Stephen stepped in and helped us create the perfect design for our family that also met our budget! Guidry Construction was very knowledgeable and experienced. GC's attitude was very relaxed which put us at ease with this being our first new construction. Overall project was 2 months late but that was due to a combination of GC and us. Budget was reasonable and was met and GC worked well with us in regards to our plumbing contractor request and the make of our 2 AC / Heating units. In hindsight, we wish we would have utilized Guidry Construction for the architectural drawings as well as the actual construction. Ourselves and GC made several slight changes to the original drawings that could have been potentially avoided if we utilized GC from the very beginning of the design phase. I would definitely recommend Guidry Construction to potential customers.

I have worked with Guidry Custom Homes since they built there first new construction home in Luling/Hahnville. They have always been great to work for. Easy to communicate with and always know what they want. Always a pleasure to deal with. I have recommended them plenty of times to friends and family and will continue to. They are great builders and there homes are always beautiful. They also designed a home for a family member of mine and they loved the design and listened to all his ideas.

As an Architect who's worked with various Contractors in the city, I can say it is always a pleasure to work with Guidry Custom Homes. Their attention to detail and patience in working through a project from the beginning schematic design to selection of finish materials and final construction proves to be an asset for the entire team. Their fair approach in dealing with issues that come up is also refreshing - a joy to work with.

The Guidry's are a great company and continue to refine their already efficient process. Unfortunately, I hired them during s really busy time and they in turn hired help, which didn't live up to their reputation. I would rehire them and actually continued to refer them to friends who are thinking of building a home. However, should they have to hire help (additonal project managers) due to the amount of workload, I'd have to reevaluate my decision. They also give a finders fee for referrals which is nice. My finished product was and is beautiful. I can assure that as long as Stephen and Mr. Joe are in charge of your projects, you are in good hands and won't be disappointed with there work.

When I was ready to enter into a contract with a builder/contractor to build my home in Lakeview, what impressed me most about Guidry Custom Homes was the quality of the homes they built and the excellent relationship they had with their clients. That told me a lot. The Guidrys walked me through the process of building from the "entering into the contract" stage through the completion of the building and everything in between. Their attention to detail and their quick response to requests is truly commendable. Of all the builders/contractors I could have hired, I'm glad I chose Guidry Custom Homes. Let me share just one incident with you. While I was checking on the building progress one day, I realized that the inside doors that were delivered days earlier were not hung. Before I had a chance to ask why it was taking so long to hang the doors, I was told that the doors were warped, would be returned, and new doors were on their way! I've heard horror stories about dealing with builders/contractors. What could have been a frustrating, stressful time for me turned out to be a pleasant and fun experience. I love my house. The Guidry's built our home in Lakeview. Construction began during the summer of 2009 and, except for a subcontractor selected by us, would have been complete during early December 2009. We moved in during January 2010. Joe, Stephen and Carol were supportive and professional before, during and after the construction period. Our home is only about 2,000 square feet of living but we have a double detached garage and a 15' by 10' covered back porch area that is a perfect amenity thanks to the recommendations by Stephen and Joe. Carol was the go-to person with respect to kitchen appliance and electrical and plumbing fixture selection. Guidry Custom Homes is no cookie cutter operation and deserve to have Custom in their organization title. The Guidry's price and value add was the difference when selecting a contractor.

Guidry Custom Homes was the general contractor for our new home construction in the Lakeview neighborhood of New Orleans. This was a custom build and we were extremely satisfied with the quality of final product. They stayed on schedule and were able to incorporate minor design changes without impacts.
