My husband and myself choose habitat Studio to do our home renovation. (Maple Ridge Renovation) They were able to come up with a design that really worked worked for us and the end result gave us the character and warmth we were looking for in a home. The whole process took a lot longer then we anticipated but through it all we found the folks at Habitat to be very easy to work with. They were very professional, open to our ideas and there attention to detail really impressed us. Doing a renovation during a pandemic was challenging and frustrating at times but in the end Habitat really came through for us and we are thrilled with the end result. We would not hesitate to use them again and we highly recommend them if you decide you need to do a home renovation.

Habitat Studio completed a design and build for our custom home recently. The finished product exceeded expectations. They are the utmost professional, approachable and detail orientated builders around. From the design process, throughout the build, Habitat has been a pleasure to work with. They execute all aspects of the build to highest level of quality possible. They are true perfectionists. The entire team (Trevor, Norm, Rick, Shaun) is involved throughout the process and the care they put into the build shows. Habitat is now completing our landscaping (a service they now offer as well) and looking forward to finishing that up over the next few weeks.

A great team to build your vision. Working with a 1960's built home some twists, turns and inefficiencies to deal with, yet Habitat delivered. From the design phase to the final finishing all whom worked on the project were professional and invested on ensuring our desired outcome was fulfilled. If you are looking for attention to detail and pride in delivering a unique home beyond the cookie cutter masses, definitely consider Habitat Studio. Habitat Studios is a company that is responsive, flexible and provides excellent customer service. Although this is the first custom house that I've had, as a company, they are one of the most responsive and transparent companies that I have worked with. In addition, I think creatively, they are above and beyond some of the other custom home builders. This is from my experience of comparing my home (and other habitat homes from friends and colleagues) to the show homes of custom builders. Since moving in, people have stolen second glances as they've walked by my house.

We have been impressed with Habitat from beginning to end. We designed and built in Edmonton from outside the province and, though we had reservations about being far from the action, the trades and site managers were all fantastic and we had no real challenges through the build process. Habitat admin staff were accommodating and professional, their trades were helpful and always seemed to enjoy what they were doing and take pride in their work, and the design team understood our vision and made it come to life. The house was done on time and on budget and we moved in with only very minor outstanding items that they've been attentive to and resolving as quickly as possible. They even showed up a couple weeks after move-in and cleared the snow off our solar panels when they knew my husband was out of town :) An absolute pleasure to work with. If moving wasn't such a hassle we would do it again and again!

Habitat Studio made our dream house a reality! From initial design, build, finishing and even after we took possession, they were amazing to work with. They were always prompt, professional, and efficient and yet no detail was overlooked. With their years of experience, they were able to provide us with different options and perspectives that we hadn’t even considered. They were able to make numerous changes at our whim even after we were well into the build phase. Costs were transparent and they were always mindful of budget. They were excellent in ongoing communication. If we were to build a house again, we’d build with Habitat Studio without hesitation.

Building our home with Habitat was a very positive experience. The design team did an excellent job of incorporating our ideas and helping us to add things we hadn't thought of. The interior designer was very helpful. She took time to get to know us and our tastes then put together packages for paint, flooring , fixtures for us to choose from making the whole process seem so easy. The emp.oyees and trades were very pleasant to work with. During the building process they were careful to minimize disruption to the neighbors and maintain a clean job site. The design and materials create a highly energy efficient home. We would definite,y recommend them to others

Habitat custom built our home ahead of schedule and within budget (March 2016 - January 2017). They tailored their involvement in the design process to what we wanted and all of the staff were professional in their interactions with us. While no one is perfect and minor issues did happen, but all of which were promptly resolved by Habitat to our satisfaction. We absolutely love our new home and would definitely recommend Habitat to anyone looking to custom build.

Habitat Studio completely renovated our condo. They were a class act from beginning to end. It was a challenging project, as our 1962 vintage condo had to be completely gutted and re-imagined. Despite the thorough planning that was done prior to beginning the project, there were unforseeable additional issues that arose when working within the existing framework of this old condominium building. Each new "surprise" was swiftly met with professionalism and creativity. This space is very unique. It has a commanding view, but oddly shaped rooms. Each detail has been innovated to suit us, and this space, exactly. Our condo is 20% the size of the house from which we downsized, so every inch of the new space has been optimally utilized to accommodate us. We have an abundance of built in storage, a murphy bed in the second bedroom, and a custom "murphy table" instead of a regular dining table so that the great room can be a dining room, dance floor, gym, or place for the kids to sleep. There are many cool features in this condo (it's spectacular, actually), and I invite Houzz to come and see for yourselves! The renovation was expensive, it's true, but we had no rude surprises from the contractor. Their cost and payment structures were clear at the beginning and they were very transparent throughout the process. We had a large degree of control over the costs during the process, and we don't feel cheated or taken advantage of in any way, unlike what some of our less fortunate peers have experienced with other contractors. I would like to nominate them for the Best of Houzz Award for 2016!!

My wife and I had input in the shape and layout of our house at all stages of the design process. Peter Amerongen came to our kitchen and (over time) drafted it with us on the spot. He designed the house with our interests and the surrounding environment—a ravine and a creek—in mind. Our ideas were welcome, and backed up with the experience and effort to make them work. We also had capable assistance with design choices which suit our personal tastes and styles. Signature finishing details make our house unique: we have a spectacular stairway, dramatic pine columns, and every bedroom has a special personal detail. Our home is designed to generate as much energy as we consume. This requires a good deal of experience and vigilant attention to detail on the part of the builder. Habitat staff were friendly and enthusiastic about the project, and contractors were always pleasant to work with. We are pleased with our choice to have Peter and Habitat Studio build our house.
