We cannot say enough good things about Bob and the entire HomeStar team. Bob made the process of designing and implementing our floor-to-ceiling kitchen renovation simple and straightforward. Bob was generous with his time as he worked with us to evolve the initial design into a completed plan that ultimately exceeded our expectations. He arranged for us to visit other clients so we could see his work and hear firsthand what to expect from Bob and his team. Bob and his crew are fantastic! We had a water leak that flooded from second story bath and the repairs were fairly extensive. Our master bath has a tight footprint and Bob and Craig were able to work with me to come up with a creative design that worked for our circa 1983 house and was up to code. His crew of Craig, Francisco, Mario, Logan and Ryan were personable, polite and they put in long hours and are extremely hard and diligent workers. They did an excellent job communicating when things would be done and what needed to happen next. They cleaned up each evening and left things put away and organized. Bob has high standards for his crew and we had to get some of the tile work re-worked but the standard answer when something is brought to their attention is "No problem, we'll take care of it". They gutted our bathroom, repaired drywall downstairs, installed LVP floor throughout most of upstairs and downstairs as well. We had to replace our family room ceiling, installed can lights as well as lots of painting and miscellaneous electrical work. We reconfigured our wet bar and switched out stair rail and balusters as well. We are very pleased with the job done and will call them again for our next project. Thanks Homestar crew!

HomeStar Renovations made a dream my husband and I had for the past 25 years come true. We added a two car garage with a training room above to our house. HomeStar Renovations guided us with great knowledge, skill, creativity and flexibility through the designing and building process. The builder found a way to create additional space when connecting the garage building to the house to add an arts and crafts room as well as a small bathroom. The addition ties in beautifully to the house. The design and the building quality exceeded our expectations. HomeStar Renovations gave ongoing advice how we could cut costs without diminishing the building quality. We've been enjoying our new addition greatly!

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe Bob Hodge and the team at Homestar Renovations. They remodeled our master bath, and came in ahead of time and on budget. Bob was flexible and often offered ideas to help improve our space. The entire crew is polite and cleaned up our home at the end of each workday. I contracted with Bob Hodge at HomeStar Renovations to remodel three bathrooms. Bob and his team did a tremendous job and I could not be more pleased. Our mundane Master bath turned into a showpiece with a gorgeous 5 ' x 6' shower complete with rain head, side spray and hand spray. Our old tub is now an air tub that is great for soaking sore muscles. The tile work in all the bathrooms is extremely well done. The powder room is no longer dated and drab. Bob's team has tremendous attention to detail and does not take any shortcuts. I feel I can trust his team in my home and know they will take care of my home like their own. Since that time, HomeStar has managed a major repair of my home after a 100-year-old Oak tree fell on my house. Again, his team did not miss finding and repairing all the large and small items that were damaged. I feel very lucky to have found Bob and know, should I need any household repairs, I can call on his team and he will ensure the job is done well. Wow! When we had the idea of remodeling our master bathroom, we didn’t know where to start. Bob consulted with us and gave some high-quality recommendations that were within our budget and time frame. Also, the crew that did the work was awesome for not only their professionalism and quality of work, but also, they worked around our cats and dog who of course were supervising the whole operation. Fantastic job!

Bob and his team at HomeStar Renovations truly made our kitchen addition (and renovation of old kitchen space) an enjoyable experience. We first spoke with Bob about our wants (and hopes) to add ~425 sf of additional living space to our home in East Cobb. We live in a 70s style split level that just wasn't quite meeting the needs of our family. We were able to add the square footage to create a customized kitchen, pantry and half bath on the main living floor, in addition to updating all the flooring on the main level, redoing the face of the fireplace, renovating the space that the old kitchen/dining room existed into a playroom/bonus space for the family, adding a small deck off the new kitchen, and updating/replacing the electrical panel and hot water heater. We worked directly with Bob to design the space and pick the finishes. We had the freedom to purchase items if we chose or provide a detailed list and have him take care of it. Bob's team was highly professional throughout the entire experience. The entire crew, lead by Craig, worked hard, communicated well, was courteous of our being present during the job, and even took timeout to show our 3 year old some of their "cool tools". We lived in the home through the entire project (February to June for the majority of work to be finished) and Bob went out of the way to ensure we were minimally impacted and had a functioning kitchen throughout 95% of the project (we literally were inconvenienced a week without a kitchen). I would not hesitate to work with Bob and his team again and we hope to do more work with them in the future.

Bob and HomeStar renovated our kitchen recently and did a fabulous job. They were on time and on budget throughout the process. They were highly professional, kind and did amazing work. We will continue to work with HomeStar and refer them to our friends and neighbors. We have had them over to do other jobs as they just finished some plumbing work for. Bob and Craig are top notch!!!

Bob (and his HomeStar team) was a dream to work with. Super professional, exemplary communication skills, organized and detailed, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. Our kitchen is now easily our favorite area of our home. At some point, we will want to renovate our master bathroom and Bob will be the first person we call when we are ready.

Bob and his team do amazing work. They did 3 separate jobs for us: 1. Add a balcony, 2 skylights and pergola. 2. Install a custom wet bar with an under the sink small pump in our basement and add a water spigot to the back of the house. 3. Replace and extend the deck. During deck replacement, they found that the existing chimney and siding below it had extensive rot and decay. They had repaired and replaced all of that as well. I could not be happier with the work they had done. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for very high quality, custom jobs. Bob has made several amazing suggestions such as adding a sliding gate to the deck. All of his suggestions were practical and visually appealing. All projects were done with great attention to detail. Each one required considerable customization. I would highly recommend HomeStar Renovations to anyone looking for very high quality of work and beautiful results.

Living in our third house in 23 years we know how difficult it is to find a reliable and competent contractor. . In 2008 we bought our home in Marietta. We found Bob Hodge and HomeStar Builders and Construction to handle all our renovations ever since. Some of which include a kitchen, and bathroom, all gutted and fully renovated. We’ve had problems with our downstairs bathroom toilet since our first day. We had that toilet reset three times but it was never really fixed. Bob evaluated it and made the repair needed, we have not had anymore issues ever since. He has custom made a closet, repaired rotten wood on our front door frame. He and his crew are trustworthy. He communicates with you as each job progresses and if a problem arises he is well seasoned enough to know how to fix it! We feel assured that work done in our home by HomeStar will be done as planned and for us, that’s helps relieve some stress. HomeStar is truly amazing - from the initial meeting through the entire process. They helped us create our dream open living space combining a completely renovated kitchen, tearing down walls, raising sunken living spaces and more. It now is the room where we can gather as a family but still do our own thing or come together for a meal or a game. They also renovated two bathrooms and in our former house, even fixed problems created by other contractors. Working with them was wonderful and we appreciated all their expertise and help throughout the process. He spent the time on the phone with me explaining how important it was to hire a professional since we were dealing with gas connection. Although he and his workers were busy on a bigger project, he took the time to send some of his crew to complete our job. Homestar did a great job adding a porch on to the back of our house. It still looks great after 2 years! Their rate was very reasonable and they completed the project on time and on budget.

HomeStar saved us when we were in a bad situation. We had contracted with a recognized & reputable Plumbing company to replace upstairs pipes, which were clogged and leaking. But when the plumbers cut into the walls to locate the pipes, they discovered our home was structurally compromised and the pipes were inaccessible. They wouldn't proceed with any work, said we needed to get a general contractor, - and left without even restoring any plumbing to upstairs or replacing any drywall! Bob from Homestar came to our house and confirmed the plumbers diagnosis, patiently explained the vulnerabilities, and priced several options for us. A few days later, they restored plumbing to the upstairs in a few hours, so we could use the house until they came back for the larger project. They returned a couple of weeks later, as promised, and proceeded with a project to reroute the plumbing, replace all old cast-iron pipes, and insert support beams to restore structural integrity. The total price for all this work, - both jobs, was less than what the original plumbing company quoted for just replacing the leaking pipes. Bob was great at setting expectations, and he communicated with us on a daily basis about the project, always answering questions or addressing concerns within about a day. The crew were prompt, professional, thorough and considerate. They crew also communicated very well about what they discovered, what they were doing, what our options were, and how the project was progressing. The project also included replacing an upstairs shower (Bob warned is this may be necessary when the new support beams raised the sagging floor). Again the crew were so professional and thorough that we were confident the job was done well. We're delighted with the end results and I can't recommend them highly enough.
