Stay big picture and let the builder deal with the details. They are most likely better at it than you are and you'll save yourself a lot of anxiety. J & J is just such a builder.

Our current home is the third that my wife and I have built in the last fifteen years. Our two previous experiences left us a bit skeptical about the new construction process. From our first meeting with Jim and his staff at J&J Building we knew it would be a different experience. The entire process was seamless and the finished product is nothing short of amazing! My wife and I have built / renovated over five homes during the course of your 30-years together and J & J Building is one of the best contracting firms we've worked with. We love our home. The quality of the construction, the attention to detail, and the attentiveness to our needs was second to none. I want to especially give a shout-out to Ramon Castro, our building supervisor, for his professionalism, courtesy, and detailed knowledge of our job and its requirements and to Shawn Dennis, Jim Costello, Jerry Miller, Mike Morrisey, Jenn Vanasdale, and the other team-members at J & J Building for making our house a home.

We never planned to build a house and quite honestly, the idea terrified me. Yet, with a large family and limited housing options in our desired community, we found ourselves exploring the notion. I'm happy to say that we'd do it all over again with J & J. Jim Costello and Mike Morrissey worked patiently with us to design the home of our dreams. They listened and cared about our wishes while never making us feel we needed to spend more money. Mike is quite talented and Jim's extensive background in the field is what led us to choose J & J. He is intelligent and full of integrity. Our project manager, Allen Simmens, has become our friend and he is the reason we enjoyed the actual building process. Al communicated with us every step of the way, always reassuring and willing to accommodate changes. He is organized and diligent and went the extra mile to ensure we'd be happy homeowners. The subcontractors were priced fairly and easy to work with as well. I'm passionate about reviewing this company because it was one of the best decisions we've made, and I hope others get to experience working with these wonderful individuals.

This is our third custom home that we have built and our first done by J & J. The design team worked with us to help us create the style of home we dreamed of and then assisted us in choosing the different elements to fit our design. Our site supervisor did a great job of communicating with us throughout the building process. Whenever there was a problem (there are always problems with building a new house!) the entire J & J team worked with us to get the issue resolved quickly and did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied. The contractors they used were professional and knowledgeable in their perspective fields. If we ever decide to build another custom home J & J will definitely be at the top of the list!

My husband and I had never had a home built for us, and we weren't totally comfortable when we started our search for a home builder. From the minute we walked into J&J's sales model we were put at ease. This is a builder who wants to deliver your dream home. Each person we encountered along the way was enthusiastic about building our home, very professional, responsive to all of our questions and "out of the blue" phone calls. Jim (one of the owners), Shawn, and Ramon (our construction coordinator) navigated us through the home building process and delivered to us a beautiful home. We don't have the biggest or most expensive home in the neighborhood, but it's the home that fits us perfectly, and is it not like any other home in the neighborhood. J&J listened to all of our wants and needs and designed the perfect house for us. Their attention to detail during construction is obvious when you walk through our home: quality materials, no cut corners, tidy finishes. We could only visit the property periodically while the house was being built as we were living several hours away. The Construction Coordinator sent me pictures along the way to keep me updated. When we had a question, concern or changed our mind about something he always answered my calls and texts promptly. Everyone was very accommodating. From the hand shake at our first meeting in the sales center to the hug at the final walk thru our experience with J&J was stellar. Highly recommend.

J & J was a pleasure to work with. This was our first home build & we found the entire process very pleasant, easy & fun. Jim, Shawn, Mike (our architect) & Chris (our Super) were all amazing to work with. We are so happy with how our home turned out & would happily do the entire process again with them.
