Jay and his crew are conscientious and careful and good listeners. They rebuilt our 1820s barn, using the original framework. They were very respectful of the old bents and recycled as much of the old wood as they could. We converted the barn into an insulated space with sections that were heated with radiant, trying to keep as much original integrity as we could. I would recommend Jay and his crew for any job that requires complicated problem solving and a sensitive eye.

Jay Rhind and his crew did a beautiful job renovating a 19th century house that was is severe state of disrepair. Jay is a creative and thoughtful builder. He has great ideas, is able to problem solve, and is good at working collaboratively. It was a pleasure working with him.

After interviewing a select handful of competent builders to renovate our beach house on Cape Cod Jay Rhind Builders was the obvious choice. His willingness to work within our time frame and budget, as well as his creativity and problem solving abilities are refreshing. Meeting Jay and seeing some of his previous work sealed the deal and we are very much looking forward to working with him and his talented crew.

Jay Rhind Builders completed a barn renovation project for me, and did an excellent job in all ways. I regret not having done the whole project with them. A few years later, he renovated my mother's house. Again, the quality of workmanship and attention to detail exceeded my expectations.

We had used Jay Rhind's services in 2005-7 when we purchased an old house in need of complete renovation. Jay Rhind Builders were recommended to us, and we used their services for the entire job. The project continued over a period of more than a year as there was much reconstruction and internal remodeling to be completed. Jay's team were exceptional and did a wonderful job. We could not be happier with the finished product. The work ranged from designing and building a complete custom kitchen, reconstructing window frames modeled on the old traditional frames (the originals sadly were rotted through), three full and two half new bathrooms including new plumbing and wonderful tiling, major repairs to ceilings and floors, reconstruction of the sun room and another 1930's addition. You name it, it had to be done in this beautiful old house. Jay Rhind's team also constructed a beautiful new 1000 sq ft deck on our first floor. When the time came in 2010 to put an addition onto the other building in our grounds (a separate cottage), and add a two car garage, we did not hesitate to go back to Jay Rhind. The designs were wonderful, the finished addition was just what we had pictured and totally in keeping with the style of the original building. His crew are wonderful, respectful and considerate.
