We contracted with Jonathan Caron Construction for a large master bathroom and closet remodel. Our conventional HVAC system was also near end-of-life, so Jonathan Caron Construction also coordinated a geothermal replacement system that included the heat and air-conditioning to the whole house, a new geothermal hot water tank system, and in-floor geothermal radiant heat under the renovated master bathroom and closet space. Our project involved re-working the existing floor plan of the master bedroom and closet. The overall footprint remained the same, but the space was reconfigured to make a large walk-in closet. A large bathtub, which we felt we would not use, was removed and that space was converted into walk-in closet space. The existing shower was moved and enlarged. The toilet was moved. And, new bathroom cabinets and hardware was chosen. Existing non-weight bearing walls were removed and reconfigured. The outcome was gorgeous. The master bathroom is beautiful with tile floors, marble countertop, and glass-enclosed shower. We worked with a variety of vendors/suppliers with which Jonathan had prior relationships or contacts. This included separate vendors for the flooring, tile, shower glass, lighting, and bathroom cabinets. Although it was a lot of work and time consuming on our part to meet with these different vendors and make our choices, the final outcome was spectacular. We chose exactly what we wanted for our master bathroom and closet. The project for us was coordinated by Jonathan and his employee, Josh Whipkey. Almost all of the actual work was done by subcontractors. Again, as with the vendors, these were subcontractors with which Jonathan had prior experience and confidence in. We were very satisfied with the quality of the work done by the various subcontractors. Jonathan and Josh were extensively involved in the details of the project. I never felt like the subcontractors were unaware of exactly what they needed to do. There was good and extensive communication between Jonathan/Josh and the subcontractors throughout the whole project. I appreciated the attention to detail. Our project took somewhat longer to complete than we expected, in part due to the difficulty of piecing together a subcontractor schedule with all of their other competing jobs to work around, and some delays getting materials and/or products from certain suppliers. But, again, taking the long-range view, we are happy in retrospect with the quality of the work. For us, getting the job done correctly and with high quality was the overriding consideration, more so than any particular timeline. I don’t honestly know how the cost of our project would have compared if some other contractor had done the work. Our work was not done at bargain basement prices. But, I think this is a classic example of the “get what you pay for” scenario. I am very confident in recommending Jonathan Caron Construction to friends and acquaintances. It will result in a job very well done. I would highly recommend this company for any construction or renovation project that a prospective client might be considering.

Jonathan and his team of friendly professionals, Josh and Joel, recently completed a backyard treehouse for our children. We could not be happier! From the initial contact to the final day of completion, Jonathan was very responsive, professional, respectful and ensured delivery of a fun and finely crafted treehouse. Jonathan was aware of the goal to have our son's birthday party on the treehouse, and despite a very wet and rainy spring season which brought many delays, he and his team worked diligently and met our requested deadline. We hired Jonathan Caron Construction, Inc. to remodel our master bathroom. Jonathan, the owner, was professional and reliable throughout the entire process. His design and estimate were both very thorough, and there were no surprise bills at the end of our project. We fully trusted Jonathan's structural and design ideas. We were also impressed with all of the sub-contractors that Jonathan used (plumbing, electrical, paint & tile). His project manager, Josh, was on-site everyday and we felt comfortable having him in our home whether we were there or not. Josh always arrived before any sub and stayed until they were finished. Jonathan helped us decide what features we wanted in our new bathroom and came up with many great ideas we would never have though of, but we are so thankful that he did! Jonathan's attention to every detail is apparent in the finished product. Jonathan has followed up with us to make sure we are completely satisfied with our new, beautiful bathroom. We have previously had construction work done in our home and have never worked with such a trustworthy and reliable contractor as Jonathan Caron. Even in the current market, good contractors are hard to find. Jonathan Caron is one of the "good" guys. His professionalism and patience with customers is second to none, from my experience. I believe he's in business to be successful, but never at the expense of the customers requirements and expectations. Jonathan Caron Construction complete a major remodel on our 1931 house including a new custom kitchen, three bathrooms, laundry, mudroom and master BR. The remodel also included upgrades to major systems including HVAC, plumbing and electric. Jonathan was very prompt and detailed with invoices and worked closely with us to find solutions that fit our budget across the board. There were no major fire drills throughout the process, which you tend to hear about with remodeling horror stories. It was very smooth from our perspective and when minor issues did arise (as they do with an older house), they were addressed quickly by Jonathan's team with several options given to us for resolution. Jonathan Caron is a pleasure to work with. He is smart, honest, responsive, detail-oriented, and importantly, a creative problem solver (and trust me, any time you have new construction, renovation or major addition there will be surprises). As our project was a second property, Jonathan’s use of technology for project-management and client-communications was enormously important. Co-Construct made remote decision-making easy, with a communications and decision tracker, image upload capability (love getting progress pics at the end of a busy day), and a tab for sourcing everything from tile, paint colors to faucetry. He works with you to ensure that your vision becomes reality. Large construction projects can be stressful, but Jonathan makes it as stress-free as possible keeping everything on time, and on budget. We are thrilled with the finished product.

Jonathan Caron Construction completed a huge renovation in 2015 on my home. I had previously worked with another design/build firm, but their lack of follow through during the design phase lead me to interview other builders. When I met with Jonathan, he set very clear expectations about the timing and he delivered!! He worked within our budget and made sure that we were able to be a part of every decision. His employees and sub-contractors were always professional and kept our job site clean - something that was very important to us.
