Jonathan with Kaizen Homes saved our family from a terrible situation with a fraudulent contractor and was willing to jump in on our project from after the designing stage. Jonathan’s attention to detail and knowledge of building science gave us confidence that we could trust him to build our home. We gave him a very strict budget and he set clear expectations on what was achievable and delivered on his word. Jonathan stayed within our budget throughout the project. He far exceeded our expectations in building our family’s home in Black Mountain, which is a legacy property that has been owned since 1940. He listened to our vision and knew the importance of the property to our family. Our family would recommend Kaizen Homes 100%.

Jonathan has helped manage several home improvements projects for my wife and I. This work included deck improvements, large glass patio door installations, a new front door, exterior cable rails and more. His crew and subcontractors have been very professional, clean, timely and competitively priced. Every one of his subcontractors have been easy to work with and their communication style is also straight forward and direct. Both Jonathan and his spouse, Abby, have been very involved with project management and events for a local non-profit which I'm heavily involved. Our non-profit focuses on outdoor trails, recreation access and maintenance of trail resources here, locally in Pisgah National Forest. Using his project management and construction knowledge, Jonathan has helped us build bridges (literally), ordered materials, organized volunteer work days and manage our internal budgets regarding large scale trail construction projects. Jonathan also served as a project manager for the construction of a youth-focused bike park and worked closely with the local Park District (City of Asheville Parks) and the professional trail builder (Matt Malone w/ Nature Trails). The popular, and well designed bike park has lead to future collaborations with the City of Asheville and the development of more trails.

We moved into our home, Hemlock Ridge, that Kaizen Homes built in 2016. The whole process from beginning to move in was well planned, professional, and very collaborative between the builder, Jonathan Landry, and ourselves. He uses software that organizes the selection process for fixtures, trims etc. for the customer. This was extremely helpful. He was careful with our budget and if issues or concerns came up they were communicated immediately. Jonathan and his team did a quality job in every aspect of our home. We had no issues after our move in. I would highly recommend Jonathan as a home builder!
