KLH Custom Homes

Such a fun experience working with this team. Their communication and quality have been overwhelmingly impressive from the start, and we love how they incorporated our styles and preferences into the character of the home. And the kicker—they nailed the build timeline, and we moved in almost exactly when projected at the beginning of the project!

KLH Homes was a dream to work with. Kevin and Liz (& their team) worked tirelessly to deliver our house on time, on budget and deliver an end product that was beyond our expectations. They communicate well, care deeply about delivering something you'll love and push you to explore new ideas and design choices that elevate the project. They are also all great humans which made the project genuinely fun! I couldn't recommend them more!

After following KLH’s work for years, my mom and I were so excited when the opportunity came to build our family vacation home. The process was highly customized to our needs every step of the way; from selecting the build site, to the curated design details, and execution of our “modern cottage” house plans. This was truly an experience we will cherish for a lifetime. The team is top notch and provides nothing but exceptional service. The communication throughout the entire build was seamless and transparent. Their collaborative approach to the project made all the difference, the vibes are immaculate, and the product speaks for itself. It is truly a work of art and a respite for our family. We give our highest recommendation of KLH to those who are considering using them for their custom home. Thank you to the team for making our vacation dreams come true!

We have had the pleasure of knowing Kevin and Liz both personally and professionally for over a decade while living in the same town. In their early development days, we enjoyed watching their carefully curated homes pop up throughout the West Michigan community, each home with a distinctive look and feel. We'd eagerly tour their Parade projects and homes they built for friends/acquaintances. On each tour, we were extremely impressed that our friends had started their own business and had the talent to create homes that reflected our friends so well. Seeing their projects firsthand and scrolling through their social channels, we noticed the quality and attention to detail, bold yet tasteful edits, playful and breathtaking designs. Never having considered building a home prior, we began to dream and discuss with Kevin and Liz about the possibility of being their clients. We had one brainstorming meeting and soon began to plan our home build with KLH. It is important when collaborating with a builder and designer to feel understood in your vision and style while enjoying the planning process and meetings that you have together. This was true of our experience; working with their team was a wonderful blend of professionalism and fun. From the beginning floorplan layout to going bold on a siding color, tile and finish selection, and pragmatic ROI questions, they subtly provided insight and helped us make big decisions based on their experience and expertise. We enjoyed our walk-throughs, design meetings and felt that we were included along the way in the build process but didn't have to manage it (which was a blessing to working parents with busy kids)! Our project was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. The best compliment I get when hosting is that our home feels like a reflection of us. Having lived in older homes and through many remodels, we love that our home feels complete. Each room and design choice were thoughtful and we look forward to walking into our home and enjoying it with friends and family every day. It is no surprise KLH grew from a dream into a dynamic custom home and design business with a portfolio throughout the country that has been featured in renowned magazines and social channels. When talented people work hard, deliver results and are a pleasure to work with - success will follow. We would welcome working with KLH again and highly recommend them to others. These guys are awesome! I found them on instagram and reached out to Kevin to design our house, he made the process so easy and it was well worth the cost. I can't recommend them enough

Kevin and his entire team are top notch. This was our first home building experience and everything about the process was wonderful. The process was easy and fun and the quality of work is amazing. I would highly recommend KLH if you are looking for a fantastic builder.

Hard to put into words how happy we are with KLH's gorgeous designs, and also with the people who we've worked to create them. Kevin, Liz, Jaci -- y'all have created our dream home and we are thrilled to watch it get built day by day. KLH designed our home as true partners, really hearing and understanding our (many, many!) ideas and turning them into something even better than we could have imagined. They're super easy to work with, open to feedback and collaboration, and most importantly just really really good at what they do. (Look at that design!) Even working remotely from LA to Michigan, the process of working together was seamless. No doubt we'll be working with this team again on our next project. Can't wait till then!

We went with KLH for architecture and design work; best choice we could have made. They are so knowledgeable, and yet willing to listen and work with you- a rare combination of expertise and humility. Oh, and patient lol. If you are looking to build your forever home, this is who you need to use. We have followed their designs/builds for years and always beautiful work. We would have asked to get on the schedule for them to build as well, but we were out of region. Can't give a higher praise. Photos to come.

We built with KLH custom homes in 2013 and 2014. We had an amazing building experience and could not say enough about the quality and overall experience they provided! Second to none! Here are a few pictures of our final project! They helped us create the best indoor/outdoor atmosphere anyone could ever ask for! Thanks KLH!!

When I first found KLH I was dying to have them build our home, unfortunately we out of their building area so that wasn’t an option. So we did the next best thing, Had them design our home ! We worked with Kevin , the K in KLH to design the perfect home for us. He was so amazing to work with and helped us really perfect the functionality of our home. Once we broke ground I began working with their design team (Jaci) & Liz , the L in KLH on the interior design aspect of the home. Liz has been so amazing to work with, aside from being the nicest person she has also taken so much stress away by helping me with all the design selections in the home. Kevin and Liz are the nicest duo and build immaculate homes. If you want a home like no other, build with them. And if you can’t build with them design with them !

We recently finished building our dream home with KLH Custom Homes and could not be happier with how it turned out! After many referrals and interviewing the team at KLH, we were confident they were the right team for the job. While there were many parts of the process that exceeded our expectations, three qualities stick out the most: Responsive – any and all questions, no matter how big or small, are answered right away with detail and accuracy. We sincerely appreciated getting immediate feedback to help us make informed decisions throughout the process. They lead with great service, which seems to be a lost art in today’s world. Budget conscious – this was very important as we had often heard many builders run over budget on their projects. This was not the case with KLH. All costs were thoroughly explained and tracked through a shared spreadsheet that we could access anytime. As someone in the financial world who tracks numbers daily, it was greatly appreciated and came in almost exactly as discussed. Creative thinking – while we had an idea of the overall project we wanted to end up with, we did not have the expertise to determine how to best blend fixtures, materials and overall design. They guided us from start to finish in all of these areas. We loved that they gave us ideas that fit our vision along with some “out of the box” ideas that we would have never thought of. We quickly learned to trust their instincts and are very happy we did! We sincerely appreciate all of the hard work from Kevin, Liz and the whole team at KLH. We highly recommend working with them and wouldn’t hesitate to build with them again!

Our family moved to Kalamazoo about two years ago.. we were so lucky to stumble upon our KLH home. When we bought our house, it was in the early phases of being built.. I honestly had no idea what it would look like- but was more than confident that I would love everything about the finished product given that the KLH portfolio is stunning, and I fell in love with all the past projects they had done. More so, I was further impressed by their organization, timeliness, and care for each client. They set the standard of excellence when it comes to quality craftsmanship, design detail, and providing exceptional customer service. Their homes are truly unique in design and exude attention to detail at every corner. KLH homes are crafted by a team of professionals who go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your home. After almost two years in our house, Kevin continues to be responsive to any questions and concerns I may have when it comes to caring for our home. The KLH team is amazing at what they do and we absolutely love our house!!
