more than $100,000
From start to finish we had a worry free time, fixed price - no more to pay, and they kept there promise, not one cent extra at all. This was our first time building and we didn't know what to expect, but complete new homes made every step easy, every time we made a change they just very willing to help. We are now moved in our complete new homes, and the level of service is still the same, thank you very much.

Nothing but problems from the start. They make a ton of mistakes, and unless you have it in writing they will not fix it. Besides all the issues we encountered during construction, when we moved in to the house we had no hot water and no heat. Because it was over the Thanksgiving holiday it took a week to get someone to come out to look at it. Turns out Maracay forgot to hook up the hoses to the heater, and didn't light the pilot light to the water heater. A half a million dollar brand new home - and no heat or hot water for a week. Maracay's mistakes were not just limited to construction......We agreed to use Maracay's finance company - Tripoint - in addition to being completely unorganized, they locked us in at the wrong rate. Of course they tried to tell us it was a "misunderstanding", but the loan officer had admitted in an email that she screwed up so they were forced to fix it. And, the latest, and most unbelievable, when we were painting my son's room and trying to figure out why it looked so different from the model, we discovered that it was missing a third window on one of the walls. Yes, you read that right, missing a whole window. Apparently the blueprints only had two windows on that wall, but ALL the paperwork/mini plans they had us sign had the three windows on that wall like the model. This was the 6th new construction house I have built from California to Virginia. In my experience, Maracay was the worst to deal with. Think twice before you sign a contract with this company.
