We just concluded our first amazing Summer and Fall in our new home in Spring Lake. Meiste Homes built us an amazing house, high quality, beautiful and functional. Our home received so many compliments from our guests and neighbors, thanks to their dedication to quality. The building process went smoothly, the progress was consistent from tear-down of old home to completion and in line with our schedule. Brian and Kevin H. were responsive and always answered to our many questions and calls throughout!

We engaged Meiste in October 2020 to build our house on the shore of Lake Michigan. We all know what was happening at that time. We chose Meiste as they were the only builder to provide their bid on time, their program management appeared rigorous and disciplined, and they offered 80 hours of designer time. Their price was good too. They completed a high quality, higher end 4300 finished sqft house in 10 months in the middle of covid and after a year, we remain delighted with the quality, soundness and solidity of the workproduct. Meiste Homes built our new house on Lake Michigan. We’ve done a lot of work with builders in the past and Brian Meiste and his team were by far the best. Their work was on time, on budget, and very high quality. Our finished house is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier. Even the neighbors can’t believe how fast it was built and that the crew was there every day working. Even now with everything paid for, if there is some minor issue, The Meiste team is there very quickly to get things resolved. I highly recommend Meiste Homes!

I'm very happy with my decision to work with Meiste to build my new home in Union Pier, Michigan. From bid-to-building permit the Meiste team was professional, accurate, high quality, on time, and on budget. I received my bid quote in March 2021 and reviewed details with Brian Meiste. After a few minor modifications, I signed the contract and gave deposit to begin permits, etc... They put me in touch with Lake Michigan Credit Union who I worked with on a single close home construction loan that converts to a 30 year fixed without closing a second time. Construction began in March, 2021 and went smooth without any big surprises. Another big plus is that the contract included hours to work with and interior designer, Kristine Kay, who was a huge help navigating Meiste suppliers, selections schedule and design choices. My home was completed in March, 2022 and Meiste hit the finish date they gave me at the beginning of. the process. Since moving in they have been great at answering questions and coming to work on a few final punch list items. I feel like I hit the jackpot working with Meiste and would highly recommend them.

My wife and I could not be happier with the home we built with Meiste Homes. We chose Meiste over many others due to their accuracy (timeline/budget) and their obvious attention to detail and incredible craftsmanship / quality across their portfolio of projects. The other crucial item for us was their ability to remain organized and maintain very clear lines of communication as we built our home from several states away. We purchased a lot and contacted Brian Meiste because of his reputation for building a quality home. The design process went smoothly, he assigned us a top notch designer to assist us in choosing finishes. The timelines for the build were all met, and there were no surprises. We have been impressed with our home - it's well built, energy efficient, and had virtually zero issues. We always felt that Brian put our satisfaction first; he did not cut corners, and almost three years later we remain totally satisfied with our home.

THE DECISION: We are very happy we chose Meiste Homes to build our custom home! We knew we wanted to build on raw land and we had a rough sketch/idea of a floor plan. We had been meeting with a different builder, but we still had so many questions. We decided to call Meiste Homes. Amber answered our call and was very easy to talk with and answered several questions we had. She then set up an appointment for us to meet with Brian. After one phone call with Amber and one meeting with Brian, we had more answers than we had received after multiple meetings with the other builder. Brian was very upfront with us about costs when dealing with raw land and he gave us a few things to consider for the type of home we were thinking about building (from both a budget and a function perspective). At that point, the decision to go with Meiste Homes was an easy one...we knew we had found our builder! GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND: My fiance and I each had a home to sell. Brian gave us suggestions for realtors as well as banks...he even gave us a couple of recommendations for architects who could help us formalize our floor plan and elevation drawings. All of his suggestions worked out well and we were grateful for the recommendations as it saved us a lot of time from having to research all of that on our own. OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Building a home can be stressful, but the whole team at Meiste (Brian, Amber, Abbey, Kevin, Garry, Heidi and Zach) worked hard to make sure we were comfortable with the process and they used their depth of experience to ensure we ended up with a quality home. They do make you feel like you are part of a family...they care about your home and it shows in their work...and it shows in the subs they select too! I would absolutely recommend them (and have!) to anyone looking to start the process of building a custom home!

We hired Meiste Homes to build our new home on the Lakeshore. We have now lived in our home for more than a year and a half and we continue to be very happy with the extraordinary service and workmanship of the Meiste team. We know of many homebuilding experiences that are night mares. With Meiste Homes, we experienced the opposite--it was most enjoyable. There was good communication at all times. From the moment we met Brian Meiste, we knew that his home building approach was different from his competition. The warm smile from Amber when we walked in made us feel welcome. Brian gave a good picture of how they work (it turned out that he was absolutely sincere) and was happy to meet with us any time and show us other homes that he built in the area. Our design consultants, Abbey and Heidi, were so well organized and helpful. They actually knew what we would like before we even saw it! The project management team of Kevin and Zach kept things nicely on track. Every promise was made good on and they worked within our budget. Now that we have moved in, we couldn’t be happier.
