Brewster's Drafting House
Green Building Companies in Oceanside
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJuly 21, 2025
“We had such a great experience working with Brewster. He took the original plans from our new home purchase and worked with us to expand and customize them into the home of our dreams. He was incredibly fast and communicative, and what really stood out was how well he understood our vision from the very beginning. We barely needed any revisions because he just “got us.” Throughout permits and construction, he has continued to be responsive and helpful. On top of that, he's just simply a very kind person and a pleasure to talk with. We’re so grateful for his work and highly recommend him.”
House to Home Design Build Remodel

“House to Home did an amazing job with my kitchen remodel! It is night and day from before hand. It is light and bright and feels like a new house! In addition to repainting the cabinets, getting new countertops and appliances, and putting in recessed lighting, they came up with the idea to completely open the kitchen up with a folding window that expands the kitchen out into the backyard with an additional countertop outside. This has been a game changer for us! Now our kitchen flows seamlessly outside, expanding the usable space. We are stoked!”
Jeanne Liem Architecture + Design
Green Building Companies in Oceanside
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 30, 2024
“We absolutely loved working with Jeanne. She is responsive, thoughtful, and kind. We are demolishing our tiny old home in Pacific Beach and rebuilding it. Technically it's a "remodel" so the process can go through permitting without dealing with the coastal commission. Jeanne is an expert with all of the technicalities of building near the beach in San Diego. There are so many rules and regulations and Jeanne guided us through that entire process. Her team got our plans through permitting with the City of San Diego with no issue. We reached out to Jeanne initially because she had a project going in our neighborhood. When we looked at her online portfolio, we saw that she had done similar projects to ours. Our house is on a "skinny lot" where every inch counts. While interviewing other architects, many gave us the impression that the space constraints were going to be a problem for them. For Jeanne, it was no problem at all! Her designs were creative and clever and use every inch wisely. Jeanne was not the first architect we spoke to, but our initial meeting with her was quite different than the other architects we met with. She *listened*. She observed everything and took a lot of notes. She looked closely at our lot, our neighbors' houses and where their windows and homes were compared to ours -- all in our first meeting. It was obvious to us that she was focused and looking closely at everything. Your architect needs this level of attention to detail! Not to mention the fact that we asked about three million questions along the way and Jeanne answered everything and was extremely helpful and patient. Jeanne is a gem. Total professional.”
