Perry Homes

I had nightmare with Perry Homes@ Santarita ranch . I reserved their property (309 Berean Ln,Liberty hill,78642) through Perryhomes Santa rirta Sales team by paying an earnest money of $ 15000 . Their Sales team have two face. before paying the earnest money they would speak what you would like to hear and post paying earnest money they won't listen whether its architectural issue or finance issue (related to mortgage,interest and any) as they feel like common man like us cannot fight and lose our hardwork money to them . I strongly recommend to not go for Perry homes and think twice before plan to reserve any with them.

I am very disappointed in a top tier builder like Perry Homes. I was one of the first Perry Homes in a new community. Five years later we had roof leaks due to improper roof vent installation, fence post rot due to improper installation (lack of concrete). All because they used cheap incompetent contractors. Yes, they provide a two year "bumper to bumper" warranty but you don't start seeing the true workmanship until 5 or even 10 years. I've lived in two other homes with lower tier builders and never have I experienced these issues with them. We plan on moving and I will never buy a Perry Home again.

I have had the same issue with water getting in behind 1 of our large living room windows for the entire time I have owned my home. We bought the house new, I have had 4 reps and numerous Perry workers come out to my house to look at it but none of the reps could figure out how the water was getting behind the windows? One guy came out and said I need to reseal my windows?!? Claiming this was a wear issue, and then left. The water isn’t coming in through the window? And not leaking where he suggested I needed to seal. I think he was just there to say No to the claim. Other reps actually did some work. We have had our window re-taped, flashing was re-installed, moldy wood and drywall replaced. After a recent hard rain, the leak happened again. We called in a service claim. This guy came out and looked at it, and said there is nothing they can do as I already signed off on previous repairs and my warranty just expired. Said we had not had any issues since and that this was just a one off case. In my case the reps were just there to fix the damage and not the main problem and now im left to fix a structural problem on my own. Four claim with Perry Homes all being the same problem and now they can’t do anything because the warranty expired.

DO NOT BUT A PERRY HOME. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever been through. The frustration, the time off of work, moving all furniture out of home twice to fix floors, having to stay in hotel, etc. There was no management of the contractors and workmanship is not quality work like they sell you on. Disintegrating grout in shower causing water to leak onto floors. Disintegrating grout on tile flooring throughout the home after they did multiple acid washes to attempt to correct incorrect grout color used. Improper grading of lot causing drainage issues that I still have 5 years later. After allowing them multiple attempts to inspect and to remedy I asked for compensation to hire my own contractors to fix properly with professionals and they refuse, after providing professional engineering reports of drainage issues. If I was able to do all over again I would never have purchased a Perry Home. I also 100% agree with other reviews stating they take advantage of single females. That was definitely the case with myself and another neighbor of mine. There have been multiple devastated home owners within my community. I continue to speak out and with others in the hopes I can prevent them from going through what I have.

Perry Homes has a proven track record for building. There is absolutely no way to have a perfect record with buyers when you have built and sold so many homes! Totally recommend Perry over most builders in Houston!

Perry home shoddy workmanship will haunt you many years past their 2 year warranty. Within the warranty period had 2 leaks inside house from rain. Year after warranty had another leak in bedroom from rain. Now 2 years after warranty have leak inside kitchen wall. Turned out to be installed pex water pipe with an area that was gouged heavily but was never checked for quality before installation. It was leaking slightly for years and recently became a big leak. Buying a house from Perry is a game of Russian Roulette. After 2 year warranty you are on your own. Not a single one of them will return your calls. One thing is certain - Perry wants to build a lot of houses fast and make a lot of money fast and they don't mind hooking you with the shoddy after results.

I am going out of my way to post this negative review about Perry homes. My home is gorgeous and I love it very much, however I will NEVER buy a new home with Perry again. Dealing with them on repairs and through their warranty department is a living nightmare. There is no reasoning with them whatsoever. We have had problems with our roof, the colors we picked out for our cabinets, our side yard drainage, our plumbing, electrical, etc. the plumbing is the latest issue and it cause a leak in my kitchen onto my hardwood floors. By the way, the leak happened because when the plumbing was put in a piece had a small crack and they used it anyway…. Eventually leading to my problem now. They could have prevented this but they do the bare minimum. They keep sending repair people who I cannot communicate with that do the ABSOLUTE bare minimum and just leave. They took up the long wood planks, did not remove the glue before putting new planks in and replaced with tiny, short, uneven planks with gaps up and down my runner of my kitchen! I said this is not a quality job that I will accept and my floors did not look like this before the plumbing leak. The repair guy that came today realized he was going to have to replace the whole section and immediately shut off, saying to me that “it’s normal to look like that”, or “sometimes the planks come in the box in small pieces”. Which they did not!! They came in large pieces and he chopped them up. They lie, the make excuses and they make you feel like a crazy person. I just want my home to be put back the way it was before the leak! We moved into our house October 2019

Any company that has a policy buyers cannot speak directly to a manager... you know to run. Purchased a 500k+ home. Process started off great but quickly spiraled. Wrong brick and color paint was placed on the home. Workmanship very subpar. On the day of closing they were still completing work due to the construction manager inability to adequately supervise/guide the contractor. Sales person is a liar for no reason at all. When she was upset with construction.. she informed me of all mistakes and lies that was told me however when she realized her commission was in jeopardy she quickly changed up. Perry Homes represent low quality workmanship/materials, and no integrity staff. I will NEVER tell anyone Perry Homes built my home. When People ask I will say KB up until I put the home fir sale. Definitely not recommending anyone to EVER purchase a Perry Home. Run this company builds freak Model Homes for show ONLY!!

I purchased a new $500k home from Perry Homes in December 2013, the same month I experienced and reported flooding in my front and back yards. Now, almost 2.5 years later, the problems are still not resolved despite having to hire my own engineers and attorney. Perry Homes was given every opportunity to remedy these problems before having to resort to such measures, but they continue to hold me hostage in this property, that I now wish to sell, by not fixing this horrific issue. Not only this, I also had major structural issues in the attic that impacted the roof. Thank goodness I hired a good home inspector before my warranty expired. Another example of a company who has gotten too big for their britches, and takes advantage of a single female homeowner (a disabled vet, I might add).

We just finished building our colonial style home in Spring, TX with Perry Homes. They often build "Track" homes, however in our neighborhood we were able to customize the interior and exterior. Our project manager, and construction manager were easy to work with. They guided us through the entire process. If we ever were concerned, or had any questions we could email them, and get a response. (even if they were "off" that day) We have a beautiful home as a result of working with Perry Homes.
