After clearing the lot and demolishing the house became necessary, finding the RIGHT General Contractor needed to be done. Enter Garza Contractors, LLC and the team lead by Robert Garza, General Contractor. From beginning to end, our build was pretty flawless with minor issues and change orders. Robert worked within our budget and pulled us back IF when we strayed from the goal. The entire team of Amy and Ken and all of the subcontractors were incredibly professional and easy to work with. Every day the job site was clean and secure. Any change orders that did result, were the OWNER’S idea, and Garza Contractors, LLC made them work. Our construction began with detailed plans and Robert going over every detail and bid against our budget. Once construction began, monthly invoices were reviewed and approved. Garza Contractors, LLC is a high-tech group with minimal paper. We held pretty tight to the schedule with a bit of flex due to weather and a few material delays beyond anyone’s control. In the end, our job completed on-time and on-budget. We had several customized home features (SMART Lutron home, Art Wall, a Lacanche Stove from France, specialized plumbing fixtures, and a Car Lift) that make our home special. Now nearly four-months since moving in, we are settling into the space nicely and still get regular check-ins from Garza Contracting, LLC to see how things are working. We wanted to install a glass garage door on our 4th floor rooftop to create a bright, airy indoor/outdoor flexible space with a kitchen area. We closed off a shower and added an outdoor closet.
