Having just finished building our home with Mark and Ray, I can say without a doubt, I would build another home tomorrow with them. Raymar's commitment to excellence and their constant striving to seek out the latest in building technology and energy efficient building practices led us to their firm. We interviewed and had our plans quoted by 6 builders who are well known in the GR market. Raymar was the only one who wanted to discuss specifically "how" they built and why they built things a certain way. This is because they don't build the same way other builders have built for the last 20 years and continue to do so....they are always looking for the best way. These guys are proud of their product and rightfully so. Raymar has been utilizing ICF (insulated concrete forms) basements for quite some time. They wanted to discuss insulation more that other builders and wrap all their homes in rigid foam (above grade too) rather than only house wrap. It's no wonder they have built numerous LEED certified homes and architects seek them out for their work. Raymar is one of the best builders in West Michigan. I would recommend them for anyone looking to build a custom house and have it done with the highest commitment to quality.

It was a joy to have Raymar build our cool custom home. Ray and Mark understood our wishes and genuinely wanted us to love our home and enjoy the building experience. Raymar built our current home and we couldn't be happier with the job they did. Mark and Raym provided hands-on attention to our project and brought ours in "on time" and to our satisfaction in all repects. They can tackle unique projects - ours was the construction of our home around a 100+ year old barn frame which had been disassembled, moved to our site and re-erected. And now that barn is our home. It is a unique combination of a classic barn structure, finished in a very contemporary way with a high degree of regard for "green building principles" - ours turned out to be LEED Gold certified for residences. They adapted well to unique construction challenges and are top notch builders. Mark and Raym of Raymar take their assignment seriously and consider open communication between builder and owner to be a critical component of their services. If we ever built another home, we would not hesitate to select Raymar as our builder again.
