Ridgecrest Homes

We signed a contract with RidgeCrest homes and Embridge realty a little over 7 months ago to build a new home. We had the worst experience we could have ever imagined. Not only was the process painstaking slow, but we had countless issues that caused us to mutually part ways with the home & Ridgecrest. It took the whole 7 months just to get the house framed with a roof. (We were told 4-6 months for the entire build). We were denied a frame walk through due to The Shelter in place order despite the fact we had been requesting one for months. We did our walk through with our own agent and requested they please hold off on insulation until we had done so and they hurried up and started insulating anyways. We did our walk through anyways and found mold, leaning beams, holes in the roof and various other smaller items. Our main concern was the mold. They said they swung by and claimed there was no mold, that the wood was stained. Feeling uneasy, we spent our own money to get a mold report done by someone that was actually certified. It came back positive for mold. We sent this and our concerns with the holes in the roof to RidgeCrest as well as a requested update on a timeline as our close date was February and we just had gotten a roof in April. They felt like it would be best for us to mutually part ways. I’m sure they didn’t want to spend the money to remediate the mold and fix their costly mistakes. Buyer beware, these are not people who care about you or your family. We were threatened to be put at the “bottom of the queue” for testing for mold, we were told that if “we didn’t want the house, someone else would buy it,” we were disrespected at every turn. Save yourself the time and trouble and find a different builder.

We came to David Brady- owner/president of Ridgecrest Homes, with a local architect's floor plan that most closely fit our style and needs. He was very talented at adjusting the plans to customize our home to include details we were delighted to have while staying in our price range. The many local vendors we met all had high regard for David Brady and his company which reinforced our decision to work with Ridgecrest. His construction site manager, Shannon Pate was wonderful to work with, easily accessible and so personable. The whole experience went smoothly and we highly recommend them.
