Sierra Home builds are always unique and wonderful. They stand out from the cookie cutter homes you might see when shopping for your new build. They do things right and produce homes that make for happy home builders.

To all prospective home buyers- If you’re reading this testimonial, it stands to reason that you’re shopping for builders to complete your home construction. Here’s a piece of advice: Selecting the right builder is so much more than simply looking at finishing touches, or bottom line price. You are essentially marrying yourself to a partner for the next six to twelve months. After you have selected your builder and the honeymoon phase wears, will relationship become strained or thrive? While Sierra Homes certainly does construct a beautiful home at a competitive price, those are not the overwhelming reason why I would recommend them. I am however highly recommending them for truly epitomizing a level of professionalism, dedication to their craft, adaptability, and willingness embrace challenges to exceed their clients’ expectations. Sierra Homes’ owner, Matt Kronaizl, will provide solution based approaches, where your goals are achieved with options you may not have even thought of. Many times throughout our build, Matt’s insight gave us a superior and more inexpensive solution to our problem. His practical, upfront, and “no-nonsense” mentality, effectively translated key decision points into layman’s terms, so an informed choice could be made. Tamarah Kronaizl, design aficionado, will work tirelessly throughout the entire process to make your dream a reality. Tamarah’s extreme level of organization and work ethic enabled our hodge-podge assortment of Pinterest® pictures and intangible collection of mental notes to actually come together and form the home of our dreams. Paul Karnish, construction manager, will ensure that your home is progressing in accordance with your plans and schedule. Paul’s awareness, proactiveness, and diligence enabled our home to be completed early and free from defects. There were no instances of the stereotypical “we inadvertently missed this from your plans” moments thanks to Paul’s oversight. Travis Jelken, teaming agent, will provide valuable assistance in thinking about those little, yet important things (e.g. utilities, change of address, etc.) as the construction begins to wrap up. Travis’s reminders to complete these types of actions were warmly received, as they can easily slip the mind from the excitement of nearing the finish. If you pick Sierra Homes, you will not be disappointed, and you will find yourself in a relationship that is destined to thrive. After every meeting, we were left with the feeling of constant reassurance that we made the right decision on who to partner with. Sierra is a fantastic custom builder and does amazing modern/contemporary houses. They let us select absolutely anything we wanted from any supplier and installed it at no cost - they didnt try to make extra profit based in our selections as some builders do. Also, they were very responsive through the whole process, meeting with us, giving advice, and making it easy. (I was living in a different state while building the house, so I appreciate this.) They let us change anything we wanted in the house. They didnt charge us at all for small changes, and when we did make larger changes that would add cost, they always set a fair price that we agreed on. (For example, after grading our daylight lot, we had the option to change from a daylight to a walkout, and we did--at minimal cost.). I could go on, but if you want a house in Omaha that doesn't look like all the others, go with Sierra. You won't be disappointed.

I had followed the work of Sierra Homes for years, always dreaming about how awesome it would be to have one of my own. Their homes have a distinct style and flair that is modern, yet flexible to accommodate all styles and tastes. When I finally made the decision to pull the trigger on building again, they were my one and only call. They helped me prep and sell my old house, sat down and listened to my building goals and formulated a plan that would balance my wants with my budget. They have a very non-stress approach to the building process that allows you to adapt your vision as the process progresses (which we did several times). I hadn't built in 20 years, so there was a lot of educating needed, but they were very patient at each stage of the process. When I needed honest input, they gave it. When I wanted something out of my budget, they searched for alternative ways to make it happen. I have heard many horror stories from people that built with other builders, and I just sit and nod and secretly high five myself for making the choice I did. I knew from the beginning this would be my last home, but if I could, I would do it all over again just because it was such a pleasure to work with Matt and Tamarah.

Sierra Homes built our house a year ago and we absolutely love it! They helped us to realize our vision of a modern house by assisting us with the design decisions throughout the building process while providing an invaluable advice on practicality and affordability. They were always available to answer our questions or assist with decisions. They also stand behind they work! Highly recommend to all!

I began working with Sierra Homes in late 2015 with project completion in March 2017. I mention this long date of start to finish to show how Sierra Homes was able to work with my wife and I's non-typical work/home life schedule.. My wife and I began looking to build a house in 2012 and after meeting with countless builders it quickly became apparent that initial starting costs/budgets from these builders would explode once upgrades such as higher quality building materials, higher quality windows, more efficient HVAC systems, proper insulation etc...were added. Then my wife and I contacted Sierra Homes. From the initial meeting with Sierra Homes, we quickly nailed down budget and what I would consider required upgrades. To my surprise and relief many of the items most builders consider "upgrade" were standard with Sierra Homes. From that point forward it was a fantastic process. Sierra Homes worked with my wife and I on our theme we were going for which was a rustic, modern, industrial, mountain look. I thought it sounded crazy but Sierra Homes understood our vision after showing countless pictures and Sierra Homes helped it come to life. When I didnt have pictures I was able to sketch out my dream basement layout and bar on scratch paper which Sierra Homes transferred it to realistic blueprint and delivered on a final product. Beyond the budget aspect and higher quality build materials, Sierra was able to help my wife and I find a lot, which we bought in late 2015 in a neighborhood of our choice. I didnt even know this lot was for sale, but Sierra worked their magic with a builder who owned the lot and I was able to purchase directly. Then in 2016 due to my work schedule we were able to design the majority of our house (picking out materials, internal design etc...) prior to even breaking ground. That flexibility allowed for such a positive experience and as close to stress free build as I could have ever dreamed. I've heard many horror stories on a build, but taking our time and having Sierra Homes guide my wife and I along was such a stress relief. On the days picking out materials and not knowing where to start the guidance provided to help our vision come to life was fantastic. It was a perfect balance of guidance and a knack for design vision to keep us on track. It's now been 4 months since my family moved into the house and the best surprise out of the entire build came after we moved in. Its not too uncommon to hear people say their builder disappeared after they closed, but Sierra Homes is as responsive as the day we started. My wife and I found a few items that we missed on final walk in day and the Sierra Homes team came over and fixed the items right away, without hesitation. It's always easy for anyone in business to say they'll be there after the sale, but Sierra Homes has shown this and for that alone they get 5 stars. In conclusion I'd build another house with Sierra Homes in a heartbeat, but I'm now living in my dream home so I don't plan on building again anytime soon. The number of compliments my wife and I receive on our house is such a great testament to a great builder and it's always a consistent reminder of a great choice my wife and I made with going with Sierra Homes.

Sierra homes was by far the best home building experience I could have ever asked for. Matt is one of the nicest most knowledgeable guys around. He helped me through the whole process with good advise and an amazing end product that I continue to love every day. He helped turn my dream into a reality!

Matt was extremely attentive and provided an excellent end product for our custom new home build. The project was on-time and on-budget. Throughout every step of the build, he responded in a timely manner to any questions/concerns we had, managed the quality and timeliness of his sub-contractors, and worked seamlessly with any third-party contractors we hired (e.g. audio/visual, window treatments, landscape, etc.). Since moving in, we have received excellent follow-up and support, with Matt going out of his way to provide resources for add-on projects. We won't hesitate to call on Sierra Homes again should the need arise and continue to recommend his services to anyone we know.

I don't think I could have selected a better builder. Matt and his team are professional, responsive, knowledgeable and always calm and confident. The communication was fantastic and effortless. We couldn't be happier with the results. I have recommended Matt to several friends and will continue doing so.

Sierra has been very easy to work with throughout the entire process of building our new home. They started with an existing floor plan they had built before and were able to take ideas we liked from other plans along with specific things we wanted to come up with our own unique home. They have continued to bring forward excellent ideas and suggestions as well as deal seamlessly with our changes as we move towards completion of our home.
