We hired Steve Stilwell to oversee and manage quite a large renovation project on a house we bought June 2014. We moved walls, changed staircases put in new windows, door arches, floors and completely remodeled the kitchen. We have remodeled on a large scale before and I can honestly say this was the best experience (BY FAR) that we have ever had. Steve only brought people on to the job he knew well and each and every one of them was great. He took away pretty much all of the stress of managing a project and made it into an experience I would now happily repeat. How often can you say that about building works? I recommend him unreservedly.

Steven has remodels our last three homes. The last remodel was a complete gutting of the house. He added a bath, completely remodeled the master bath and kitchen along with changing out interior doors from 6'8 to 8' doors. We also changed out all crown molding, base molding and door/window casings, along with replastering all the interior walls. We find Steven to be a man of his word. He can be found easily, day or night 7 days a week. He always answers calls and e-mails within an hour. It has been a real pleasure working with him and his foremen. I highly recommend him for new construction and or remodel, small or large.

Steve Stilwell worked with us from the conceptual period, through the design phase, all demolition of our old house, permitting, and the entire build out of our high end house. The work was always professional and done with close supervision all the way through to completion. Mr. Stilwell was always available to answer any questions we had and to solve any issues that occurred with our project. We now consider Mr. Stilwell a friend and are discussing his working on a new project for us.

I hired Stilwell Construction in the Fall of 2012 to complete a "down to the studs" remodel of a mid-century modern house in the Pacific Palisades which included 100% new landscaping, pool renovation and creating a soccer/sports court. Over the next year or so, Steven Stilwell and his project manager Dan Marriott brought our dream house to a reality. They could not have been better to work with; they were true partners and really cared about exceeding our expectations - which they did in no small measure. We were delighted with their work, resposiveness, transparency, cost management, sub-contractors as well as their creative vision and attention to detail. I could not recommend them highly enough. We did a full kitchen remodel, gutting the existing and replacing everything. We did not move walls. The project supervisor had a timeline worked out in advance, at my request. I have built and remodeled several properties but this project moved fast and efficiently - about 8weeks from gut to being able to use the space. There was not a day where something significant was not accomplished. Furthermore, the quality of the work is superb. All the subcontractors are experienced, skillful and work to a high standard. They respect and value their relationship with the construction company and so the project supervisor was able to hold his subcontractors to the timeline. Budgetwise, we knew going into it what the costs would be and there were few unanticipated costs or changes due to very thorough preparation prior to demolition.This is the way projects should roll.
