Jay, Maurica and their team did a terrific job building out a second floor addition on our home. This was much more complicated than we realized -- HVAC and electrical panel had to be moved. Chimney code issues. An open roof during the fall and early winter. No issue was too big for them to overcome. Jay is totally trustworthy and takes pride in his work. He is a real craftsman and we are so happy with his work.

T&C is the best. Their work is flawless, on time, on budget...and they clean up after themselves. You wouldn't even know you had construction done. Among the many projects they've done for me, one was to replace a column of stacked windows with a fixed window. See photos.

We are thoroughly pleased with the finished cabinets and bookshelves that Jay and Bob built. With Maurica’s attention to detail and Jay and Bob’s skills and repeat measurements, all five sections fit precisely in our “not too uniform” space. The team also built window seats and a hallway closet to add much needed storage in our home. It was always a pleasure to meet with each of them and they patiently attended to our concerns and requests.

We have worked with Jay on one contemporary spec house and two major house renovations. All were completed on time and on budget with excellent craftsmanship. Jay does not cut corners, and will deal straight with his clients. If there is extra cost, he will go to great lengths to explain why the changes are needed, and what the cost will be. Both he and Maurica (financial) communicate very well, and both job estimates and billings are complete and accurate. He is equally skilled on new construction and renovation work.

Jay Feldman of Town & Country built my house and every day I am aware of the craftsmanship and care that went into the structure. Jay and Bob put a 3 season addition onto our house. Their work is a piece of art, the craftsmanship in building the addition was fantastic. Jay is very easy to work with and let us know if anything needed to be changed.

Town and Country builders built our architect designed home in western Massachusetts. The experience simply could not be better. The job came in on budget, on schedule, and was thoroughly courteous and professional. What was special to us about Jay and Maurica is that they listen and think about the clients, try to get into their heads and so of the myriad decisions to be made in a house building, they already have worked so hard to understand our tastes, that they can make clear and thoughtful recommendations. I never found them to err, and there were times when we disagreed with Jay (we wanted white wooden doors, Jay thought they should be stained cherry) and he said, "Let me do one with the cherry. If you don't like it, I'll take it out and paint it and we'll do them all white, But I think you're going to like it." And we did. He would often make recommendations that ended up being more time and trouble for him, but would produce a job that was more to everyone's liking. No charge for this-- he just wanted the house to be something that we all could love. Simply the best.

Jay built our house and Maurica designed the kitchen. We are thrilled with everything. Our house was very challenging, with a lot of strange angles. Plus, Jay started building during the height of winter and still finished on time. Couldn't offer a higher recommendation.
