About Us
Jon Hastings co-founded Tresidio Homes in 2009 based on his passion for home design and construction, and because of his deep desire to create a better home building experience.
Seeing too many customers frustrated with the lack of professionalism and organization in the industry, Jon knew he could create a much more enjoyable building process – one that is organized, yet flexible, and without the communication headaches that home building is known for.
Jon founded Tresidio Homes with the intention of building personalized homes of exceptional quality, delivering on promises and creating a customer experience that was straightforward and enjoyable.
Along the journey of growing into who we are, Tresidio is focused on listening, making sure to never lose sight of what our customers want from a home building experience.
Today, we are an established, semi-custom home builder with over 30 dedicated team members, building approximately 150 homes a year – large enough to give our home buyers peace of mind but small enough to always keep a personal touch.

From start to finish my new home construction went as smoothly as I could want. The Design Center gives you plenty of options to do as you like as other builder's might not. It was a hard winter this year as we started Nov 1st, so it made things hard to get things done, but my project manager Sam Waters finished the Home on time, April 5th. It's a Beautiful Home and I am really enjoying it !!!!!!!!!!!. I would like to give Special THANKS to Annie Valentine for getting this home done for me as she was instrumental in it as it was a special design. And to Nadza Subasic for her help in the design center and also a Big Thanks to Sam Waters my project Manager for all your efforts, it was great working with you. Thankyou everyone for my Dream Home!!!!!!!!!! AD P.S. Also a Big Thanks to Matt Valentine!!!!!!

We can’t say enough good things about Tresidio homes. We just started moving into our new Tresidio home today. From the office staff, Kai Duncan our Project Manager, the design studio to the actual construction of our home. Tresidio is a first class act. We watched each phase of the construction process which was fun and exciting at the same time. If my wife didn’t understand any part of it the Tresidio professionals took great pains to educate her about what was taking place in the construction process. We moved out of a Tresidio spec home into a Tresidio home that we had a large say in what went into our home. Buy a Tresidio home you won’t regret it.

Our Team - Caleb Stone, Tom Waters, Claudia Martinez, Taylor Ceriello, and Joe Lords have been every bit the customer-driven construction team we were promised before starting our multiple builds. We have been included in every decision point expected an Owner to make - and it has always been timely to support the aggressive build schedule. when procurement/delivery issues threatened to impact our delivery dates - Tresidio made alternative material recommendations for our review and approval. Tresidio's team has functioned well in a collaborative, efficient manager that has assured timely performance - a quality mindset others promise but frankly, we rarely see. If an Owner will stay engaged with this very capable built team - you will get what you have been promised and you will be very happy with the end results.
We I/we build with Tresidio again - yes I would and yes we are!

We waited nearly a year after moving in to write this review. We purchased a newly built spec home July 2020. Thus far we have no warranty issues and are quite pleased with our purchase. We received fair value for our purchase. I would do business with them again.

From my standpoint I had a bad experience purchasing a new home built by Tresidio Homes. We purchased our new home after reviewing their model at Heritage Gardens on Linder Rd. Months ago, they claim the house at Heritage Gardens was not a model home, but now they claim it was a model. Lack of disclosures and information! Our understanding that this house was a model of a Birkdale plan and other Birkdale plans would resemble the model and amenities. We were shown the amenities of the home by Carl Baker sales manager. It was the floor plan we liked and that same plan was available in another subdivision. The new home in Spurwing Heights was in the drywall stage and was going to be a Parade Home. We understood that selections had been made for the home and we did not have any choices in flooring, paint colors, cabinets, and counter tops. We were informed all other features in the model would be built in our new home. The construction dept. displayed the features of the home on the windows in the new home. Common practice of a builder to inform subcontractors. When we visited the completed home the morning of the Parade, we discovered numerous deviations from the model and our new home. We expressed our concern and was given the opportunity to cancel the purchase and our Ernest money would be returned. This is a common practice of some builders to avoid an unhappy buyer and keep a five-star rating. This was not an option. One feature was the oven. My wife raved to Carl and their sales representative how nice it was to have an oven door open from the side. After closing, Carl informed us the oven in the model was a mistake. Bosh had shipped them the wrong model. They should have disclosed that the oven was an option. Even after I asked them to change the oven and we would have paid the difference we were told NO! A word they are good at saying. Lack of effort when it comes to customer satisfaction! The model had carpet in the family room, something we wanted. The drawings posted at the house clearly showed cut-off lines for CPT/HDWD flooring. To show their lack of knowledge of architure they claim it was just a different way to finish the family room floor. I have 45 + years’ experience in architure drawing plans for homes. The entry door in the model was a single lite, meaning it had one glass pane. The Birkdale plan has a long entry hall. That added light from the single pane was a nice amenity. Our house of course has no glass in the front door, making the entry hall dark. All of the dozen or so Tresidio homes built in our community have windows in the entry door. The fireplace in the family room had a hearth in the model. Another nice feature when it’s cold winter day and you want to sit Infront of the fireplace and get warm. Of course, we did not get the hearth. Tresidio changed the shower in the master bath. The model had no curb, but ours did. No curb was a nice feature considering our age and the medical problems my wife and I have. Once again lack of disclosure.
We had scheduled a mover and everything was in motion for the move. Canceling the sale would have cost thousands of dollars because of the time frame to purchase another home and reschedule the move. Tresidio Homes did not want to communicate with us. We were ignored when we asked questions. It has cost me thousands of dollars to install and supply new products to make the house the way we thought we were purchasing.
Upon closing I rushed to Idaho to do an orientation prior to moving in. I knew the importance of a walk-thru prior to occupying the house. I was informed I was not getting an orientation, this procedure had to be done before closing with my realtor. Not sure I would trust a realtor to perform an orientation. This was impossible with us living in another state. Once again to avoid a potential problem with the buyer. My agent had made three phone calls to try and schedule an orientation even though they denied that an effort was made to schedule an appointment. Each time Tresidio was not available. I have done business with my agent for over 20 years and they are one of the most honest people I have ever met.
It is my felling, that Tresidio Homes wants as little interference from a buyer as possible. After closing I had many questions as to the products installed on our new home and the application of said products. I had to find the answers to my questions myself, they never responded. I never received a 60-day inspection as promised when we made the purchase. They are full of promises with no follow-up.
I was informed that the owners of the company were very intelligent, college graduates. College does not educate you on how to build a home. It takes OJT for many years to learn the fine aspects to build a great house. Many things I see shows their lack of knowledge in building a home.
If possible, I would give no star rating for our new home.

Comment from Tresidio Homes:
We take customer complaints very seriously, and we know that you have given us this feedback in the past, but we would be happy to share our version of events again. As you stated, when you submitted an offer to purchase the Birkdale plan that was under construction in Spurwing Heights, we let your agent know that the selections for the home have already been finalized and ordered, and that as part of the purchase, you would be welcome to come to our Design Studio to verify that you were happy with what had been chosen for the home. After meeting at the Design Studio and having an opportunity to verify the details for the home you even made some changes which we accommodated. Additionally, as you stated, the selections for the home were posted in the windows of the home from before you made your offer to purchase the home. Those selections in the windows reflect exactly what was put into the home, including the appliance choices for the home, the front door, the fireplace and master shower configurations, etc. They were all available for you to verify from the original time of purchase. We assumed that after having the selections available to review and meeting at our Design Studio to review, you would be very clear about what you were receiving.
Additionally, I have included a screenshot of the original building plans that show the Great Room and Master Bathroom. The dashed line shown in the Great Room does not reference a flooring change from Hardwood to Carpet, but rather shows the change in ceiling height for the tray ceiling. You can also see that a curb for the Master Shower was planned from the beginning, and there was never a fireplace hearth planned for the home. All of this information was posted in the windows of the home which you mentioned that you reviewed as part of your purchase decision. Again, we were led to believe that you understood what you were purchasing and the documents (building plans, selection sheets, contract documents, change order, etc) demonstrate that as well.
When we received your letter shortly before closing expressing that you were expecting to receive all of the same features and fixtures from our model home in a different community it was very confusing for us, as we had built your home exactly as we had planned from the beginning. Nothing was ordered incorrectly or shipped on accident. If that had happened, we would have immediately remedied the situation. Upon hearing that you were unhappy with some of the finishes, and knowing there was not time to make changes prior to closing, we offered to give you your Earnest Money back and cancel the contract because we felt bad that you misunderstood what we were planning to put into the home. We were just trying to extend an olive branch and let you out of a situation that neither of us wanted to be in. You chose to proceed with closing, just to have the same complaint brought forward eight months later. Our response remains unchanged: we put the exact features and fixtures into your home that were planned from the beginning. We felt that we gave you many chances to understand what those selections were, but we have put new practices in place to try to set even better expectations moving forward.
As far as the New Home Orientation is concerned, our Realtor tried many times to communicate through your Realtor the timing for the Orientation and the associated procedures, specifically that the Orientation has 3 purposes: to review the warranty procedures, to orient you on the features of the home, and create a final orientation list of things that were in need of touch up. We did do an Orientation with you when you got into town after closing. That Orientation, held on October 23rd, 2018, included you, our Senior Project Manager, our Warranty Manager and our Realtor. Because closing had already occurred, the only part of the Orientation we were unable to do was the final orientation list. We have continued to have a lot of interaction with you throughout the Warranty phase of your project. Our Warranty Manager was at your home many times in the first three months of your warranty and considered your 60-day walk-though complete (generally we don’t hear from our homeowners during the first 60 days and so we make it a point to proactively get in contact for a walk-through at that time if we haven’t heard from them).
In conclusion, it’s always disappointing for us to have an unhappy home buyer and we are actively looking at ways that we can improve our processes and communication moving forward to set even better expectations. Thank you.

I couldn't be happier with Tresidio's product. I had a unique vision for my home and the project required a builder with ingenuity and the knowledge to build a home that would suit my taste. At every turn, Tresidio stepped up and met each challenge with a level of integrity and professionalism with is rare in this business. A year after project completion, Tresidio continues to regularly check up on the condition of the home and uphold their commitment to me as a client. I would absolutely choose them to build my next home, and would recommend the same to anyone who may be in the market for a new home.

I first built a home with Tresidio (via long distance) in 2012. I found them to be completely trustworthy and honest; and the product they provided to be high quality, especially for the price point. I sold that house and wanted to build a a new one in 2015. I checked out several other builders, but found in the price range I was looking, their quality and design just cant be beaten! Their professionalism and the quality of their product is still high. They've also made improvements to the entire building process: planning, choice selections, inspections etc., which made building, even via long distance, very easy. I am extremely happy with their floor plans & designs and the way my house turned out. I would definitely recommend them. As a bonus, the entire staff is really nice and fun to be with !

Jon and the team did a great job of being completely transparent and open with me throughout the whole process. I've interacted with other builders in the past where I felt like I wasn't sure if they were on my team or if they were trying to maximize their own value. Not with Tresidio! The whole Tresidio team was very professional and did a great job on their work!

As a professional in the building industry, my husband and I were very pleased with the Tresidio team! From our first sit down meeting with Jon, he "heard"our needs and wants. The show room for exterior/interior selections is very useful. The Tresidio Team is very professional and personable. Once the construction schedule was set, Joe our project manager gave us the same respect and care to keep us informed as well as correct situations that will and do happen along the way.
We now enjoy the quality of our home and recommend the Tresidio Team. A company with integrity!

From the moment I stepped into the model home I knew this was the house I wanted to have built. The quality was something that just jumped out at me and I did not see in other homes in my price range. From the selection process to the actual build process the experience was amazing and fun. Joe was great and made sure that any issues I had were addressed right away.
I could not be more happy with my new home. Tresidio offers great value for the price.

Jon & Joe helped us achieve our vision, mentoring us in areas we were unfamiliar with in a kindly and patient way. Build quality & build pace allowed even our updates & modifications to be completed within scheduled time frame. I would do this again in a heartbeat! These guys Rock! Entire staff was always available to us to address our concerns. Scale of 0 to 10; 1000+!
