Very happy with the quality of work completed by the Velusina Design and Construction team. We had 8 commercial washrooms renovated to look more modern and upscale. we had a very tight budget, so Chris worked with us to refine the specification and design, which brought the project within a reasonable amount. Many out of scope "issues" came up during the project, Chris was very flexible and honest while with us in achieving the best results while keeping costs down. I highly recommend the Velusina Design and Construction team!

I reached out to Chris to fix a localized problem in a garage. Although I didn't end up using Chris's services, he was very professional, transparent, and a pleasure to deal with. Although his team could have definitely done the work themselves, he was honest that for the relatively small volume of work required, it would be more cost conscious for me to go with someone independent. Based on that interaction, if I was looking to do a major project such as the ones done by Velusina Design and Construction, I would have continued with Chris!

We want to do a home renovation/addition and were contemplating two options 1. Completing a room and washroom over the garage 2. Adding an addition to to the back of the house. Chris spent over an hour with me discussing the pros and cons of each option, what the work would entail, the layout options and timelines. I was very impressed by his professionalism and he was forthcoming on the risks we could mitigate in advance with proper planning, and others that were outside our control i.e. supplier issues due to COVID. He also wanted to ensure we made an informed decision by telling us of all the extras we would want to consider and budget for such a new windows and siding which most people don't include in their initial assessments. We still haven't finalized which option we will be pursuing but I wanted to provide Chris with an honest review since that is what made us consider him in our search for a reputable and honest contractor.

Although, we did not get to work with Chris due to our own constraints and limitations, I was blown away by his service, professionalism and kindness which was refreshing after having encountered challenges in our project. Chris was genuine with his approach and transparent with regards to cost and timelines. He took the time to answer all our questions and provide helpful recommendations regardless of whether we were able to move ahead with his services. Chris, thank you again.

I spoke to Chris about the scope of my work and which were my objectives for the project. We concluded, that for the current project, we were not a good fit. Despite we won’t have the chance to work in this particular one , he was crisp and clear when explaining the overall perspective and how he would approach his job. I value his honesty, his clarity and how he was setting expectations from the begin so we wouldn’t be wasting our time, and I truly appreciate that. Chris is such a great person and professional. He spent hours with us giving us his recommendation and offering such valuable advice for our home. He made us see so much potential in our home that we hadn't even realized! He takes his time to talk you through the ins and outs of the project, but doesn't pressure you into making any rushed decisions which is appreciated. I would give Chris 5 stars because he was so genuine and professional. However, we did not go ahead with our project. I will say how impressed I was with the effort and care Chris put in to offering me options and advice for when we are ready to proceed. Not many people would even bother to take the time! I would recommend that you choose this company for your next renovation project. Chris showed up on time he was very Respectful to what I wanted he always kept it in mind when giving me ideas on how to redesign my kitchen. He gave me all pros and cons of decisions that I wanted to make and also for future renovations that I plan on doing. I found him to be very knowledgeable. He never had any qualms about providing me and finding the solution. He did his investigation to ensure that I would be able to get what I want (In which I really appreciate him going above and beyond). When I first decided to do my renovations I had an idea of what I wanted but I wasn't confident, he reassured me that whatever decision I made that he will do he's best to make it work. I can't say enough about Chris and Velusina. Chris is a breath of fresh air relative to all the other general contractors that I talked to. Some contractors took weeks or didn't even respond to my requests for quotations. Chris on the other hand was very professional and responsive. Chris was very generous with his time and insights for my house extension. We were very satisfied with Velusina Design and Construction. From the start of the demolition of our existing home, to the interior finishing work of our new home, all Velusina Design and Construction employees and sub-contractors were very professional and courteous. It Is difficult to find enough praise worthy words to describe the efficiency, ability, politeness, and skill of the workmen who come. They work quickly and clean up immediately. We also appreciated how Chris went out of his way to be sure everything was going as planned with the project by providing us with bi-weekly progress updates. This process helped put us at ease as all items were discussed and explained. His project manager was readily available to take care of any minor problems that arose. Chris was also very instrumental in seeing that any associated sub-contractors maintained the uptmost professionalism while fulfilling their obligations in a timely manner. Further, I would encourage them to strongly consider the “design/build” process, as it definitely irons out a lot of problems pre-construction and any design intricacies are clearly understood as designer and builder are one.
