Fred Coyne is a true craftsman, always looking for the best way to arrive at the ideal solution. Case-in-point, we had designed a garden house responding to a number of different programmatic needs: additional storage space, creating a play area for children, serving as a focal point to organize the backyard space, and coordinating with the vernacular lowcountry architectural style of the existing architecture on-site. Thanks to Fred's skilled implementation, this functional, flexible, and beautiful structure created an outdoor living space that enabled the family to enjoy their garden year-round. The project has received positive reviews including: a 2002 Chrysalis Award, featured in an article for the Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, and was seen on the Food Network's "Date Plate."

Fred is an amazing builder and teacher. I had the opportunity to be a part of his team, learning more and more about residential construction on a daily basis. The knowledge I gained from Fred heightened my logistical and problem solving skills further by “constructing” my designs and working through those details as I drew them. His quality of work, attention to detail and customer satisfaction all go hand-in-hand at the top of his list.

I really can't say enough about Fred and his team...After we set down, came up with a plan, I never worried about anything...Because I was living out of state and limited to how often I could travel/see the progress, I had my doubts it would go as smoothly as it did...Communication was great...Pictures were sent, I was walked through every step, Timelines were kept...and the workmanship, etc, is beyond words...If your looking for a new home, re-model, you won't find a BETTER GUY to work with...Looking forward to living in my BEAUTIFUL HOUSE....

I met with Fred to discuss enclosing our screened porch. Fred had ideas that would incorporate the look of the other windows, etc. We contracted with Fred to begin the project. The results far exceeded our expectations. The workmanship was excellent and the enclosed room has added so much to the look of the house both outside and inside. Great job by Westbridge Homes.

Fred Coyne - Westbridge Homes – was recommended to me to renovate a very outdated kitchen and master bath in my small beach home. Fred took my simple ideas to upgrade the kitchen and master bath and delivered much more. I now have a beautiful modern kitchen and master bath. Combined with the new kitchen, he added a very comfortable living area with a large deck overlooking the marsh which provides a beautiful 180 degree view of the marshlands from the new addition. Fred Coyne and his group of workers did an excellent job on the complete renovation of my home. From design to finish, the people he has work for him are hard workers and very pleasant. My job included a lot of specialized things that Fred knew who to get and when to schedule it. He has been in the building industry and has an excellent knowledge of where and when to spend the money for the most and long-lasting benefit. The longer I live in my home the more I appreciate decisions that he made. These include things like insulation and placement of outlets and all of the minutia that can overwhelm a homeowner with all the decisions to be made. There was no problem nor any special thing that he was unable to provide. He also made great recommendations for the best products to alleviate future problems that go with a coastal climate. I heartily recommend him to use as a contractor and consider him and his cadre of sub-contractors friends.

Westbridge Homes (Fred Coyne) has finished a bathroom/laundry room and a master bath renovation for us and we are finalizing plans for the third bathroom. We have pretty much gutted the bathrooms and laundry room, moved plumbing slightly, and provided some challenges with lighting changes. He is a pleasure to work with as he is very flexible and creative; he has not only implemented my many ideas from various catalogs, magazines, and Houzz, including a barn door style shower door, but makes many suggestions for improvements and details I would never think about. His inclination to leave some decisions until they need to be made allows us to better visualize what the finished bathroom will look like and how it will work. The fact that once each bathroom is completed we ask him to begin the next speaks for itself.
