YFI Custom Homes

YFI Custom Homes was hired by the Town of York to construct the new Long Sands Beach Bathhouse facility. This was a high profile public project located on one of York's iconic beaches. The project site was complex and involved rerouting a section of State road to make room for the new facility. YFI was required to coordinate its efforts with Town Departments and other public utilities to insure the road work could be done simultaneously with the bathhouse construction. Additionally work was performed during the winter months to insure the building would be ready for the busy tourist season. From start to finish Glenn Farrell and his team were extraordinary to work with. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail and consistency in meeting schedules and coordinating the work of subcontractors was outstanding. Their communication was excellent throughout and the project was delivered on time and on budget. The Town was fortunate to obtain YFI for this project and I highly recommend them.

I have known Glen for some time. Aside from being an extremely funny person, I consider him to be one of the most knowledgeable builders I know. Glen's homes are nothing short of amazing. HIs work speaks for itself. I highly recommend YFI.

My company did the window treatments in the house that Glenn was building. I go into many high end homes and I was particularly impressed with the quality of the workmanship in this house. Both the clients and the designer were very pleased with the outcome and the project was finished on time (unusual!) Glenn was also extremely personable and helpful and his attention to detail is impeccable. I would highly recommend him.

Glenn is delightful to work with; we have been working with him for nearly three years -- from the architectural design stage through construction of our new home, which exceeded our high expectations. Glenn is very organized; engages very high-quality workmen, all of whom are very professional, have high integrity, and have nothing but great things to say about working with Glenn (happy sub-contractors have a huge impact on the outcome of a project!). Glenn has been very collaborative and worked well with our architect and designer, staying true to the architectural design, although at our request he would periodically identify alternatives that gave a similar feel but would be more cost-effective. He is also a great problem-solver, and came up with a creative and very effective way to hide the TV over the fireplace with a framed oil painting that lifts up behind the fireplace panel (this is not the cheesy roll-up painting that is typically promoted). Cost-wise we went over budget, although it was largely due to the architectural design, which was amazing, but complex. Having said that, the workmanship was nothing short of awesome. We couldn't be happier with our new home and our experience working with Glenn.

FYI and their team of top notch craftsman are a pleasure to work with and you will enjoy their handiwork forever. I still marvel at how wonderful some of the rooms in our beachfront house look throughout each New England season. Glenn Farrell is a down to earth, easy going, honest guy who is knowledgeable, friendly and delivers on what he promises. I give him an unqualified recommendation.
