“Mike Brazil is creative and professional and is our electrician of choice. We moved into a house with a relay system, which was apparently very high tech in the 60's when our house was built, but now is basically an obsolete technology which makes it pretty much impossible for us to find parts for. As parts of the system started to go on us, we called several electricians to replace them. We were told by all that we would eventually have to replace the entire system (re-wire the house, basically) since parts are unavailable. Sinking $10-$15k into rewiring switches was frustrating to us since we just bought this house (our first) and of course the inspector never mentioned it, etc. and all that money would just result in some normal switches- boring. Mike was the only one who came to the table with a solution that would cost the same amount but give us much greater functionality- the Lutron Radio Ra system. With his creativity, we now feel better about our investment since we can control the entire house on keypads, from our iPad, etc. We can set up schemes so at one click we can choose "prep lighting" or "entertaining" lighting in the kitchen for example, and we can even control the system remotely and or even set the lights to come on while we're on vacation to mimic our normal routine. I know Mike didn't invent the technology, but he is the only one who saw this as a great solution to our problem. Throughout the process he's come up with other creative solutions to combine switches or use hardware to save us money or get us the best functionality. He really knows what he's doing!”
