- Reimagined 1970s Beaverton Home
16Reimagined 1970s Beaverton Home
BeavertonWinner of Oregon Home Magazine's 2026 Structure & Style Award for Best Major Home Remodel Built in the late 1970s, this Raleigh West home was thoughtfully remodeled to create a brighter, more functional living space while honoring its original Northwest contemporary architecture. The project focused on the kitchen, family room, and adjoining dining area, using a warm, natural material palette that feels timeless rather than trendy. The custom kitchen pairs walnut cabinetry with painted cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams Natural Tan (SW 7567), creating subtle contrast and warmth. Quartz countertops in Pental Cashmere Taj complement a deep green Yakasumi backsplash from United Tile, while champagne bronze Gibson pulls by Elements add a refined finishing touch. Existing skylights, expansive windows, and layered lighting keep the space bright throughout the day, and wide-plank French oak flooring by California Classics ties the living spaces together. The adjacent family room is anchored by a new fireplace clad in Bluerun stone from Bedrosians, creating a clean architectural focal point that complements the home's original character. Together, the updated materials, thoughtful detailing, and cohesive design transform this vintage home into a comfortable, modern Northwest retreat.
- Refresh with Thoughtful Updates
41Refresh with Thoughtful Updates
Beaverton$75,001 - $100,000When these homeowners decided it was time to update their kitchen, they already knew what they loved. The existing layout worked beautifully for their daily routines, so instead of starting from scratch, we focused on refreshing the space with new finishes, improved functionality, and timeless design details. One of the biggest challenges was the original tile countertops, which had become difficult to maintain over time. We replaced them with durable quartz countertops that not only provide a cleaner, more modern look but are also much easier to care for. A new undermount sink, updated faucet, and dedicated beverage faucet completed the upgrade, bringing both style and convenience to the heart of the home. To give the kitchen a fresh new personality while maximizing the renovation budget, we preserved the existing cabinetry and refinished it in a custom Sherwin-Williams green. The rich color adds warmth and character while highlighting the kitchen's classic layout. A ceramic pencil tile backsplash, updated lighting, and new appliances helped complete the transformation while maintaining the home's existing footprint. One of the homeowners' wish list items was dedicated wine storage. By reimagining the underutilized desk area, we were able to create the perfect home for an undercounter wine refrigerator, adding both function and a touch of everyday luxury. Beyond the kitchen, the project extended into the adjacent living space and powder room. New hardwood flooring was seamlessly integrated where carpet once existed, and the entire floor was refinished for a cohesive look throughout. In the half bath, refreshed cabinetry, quartz surfaces, updated plumbing fixtures, a new mirror, and decorative sconces brought new life to the space. The result is a home that feels brighter, more functional, and thoughtfully updated while preserving the layout and character the homeowners always loved.
- Beaverton Primary Bath Transformation: Where Luxury Meets Wellness
29Beaverton Primary Bath Transformation: Where Luxury Meets Wellness
Beaverton$100,001 - $150,000Creating a personal wellness retreat doesn't always mean starting from scratch. Through thoughtful design-build solutions, this Portland metro primary bathroom renovation showcases how reimagining your existing space can deliver extraordinary results. Nestled into the side of Cooper Mountain, this stunning remodel artfully balances bold neutrality with warm, natural elegance. The centerpiece of the transformation—a spacious cedar-clad sauna—connects harmoniously with the expanded double shower, where biophilic accent tile reflects in the striking wall tile like dappled sunlight on water. The refined vanity area, featuring expertly repainted cabinetry and luminous countertops, ties the space together with subtle sophistication. The success of this luxury renovation stems from strategic space planning and custom craftsmanship. By removing the existing oversized tub and deck—elements that weren't serving the homeowners' needs—we created space for a fully custom two-person sauna. The shower expansion, though modest at 12 inches, significantly enhanced the comfort and functionality for two users, demonstrating how thoughtful design can maximize every square foot. What sets this project apart is its fully integrated design-build approach. Rather than relying on prefabricated solutions, the custom sauna was designed and constructed from the ground up. This complex undertaking required seamless coordination among electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades across the Portland Metro Area, all working together to transform a standard bathroom into a high-performance wellness retreat. Client collaboration played a pivotal role in the project's success. Through detailed 3D renderings, curated photo books, and hands-on material samples, the homeowners could confidently visualize and participate in design decisions. Every element—from the rich cedar sauna cladding to the plumbing fixtures—was carefully selected to create a perfect balance of aesthetics, performance, and budget considerations. Speaking of budget, strategic decisions helped prioritize the homeowners' main objectives: a comfortable two-person sauna and an expanded shower. Instead of complete replacement, the existing cabinetry received a professional refinishing, maintaining a fresh, cohesive look while reducing material costs. By thoughtfully retaining elements like plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, and the toilet location, we avoided unnecessary expenses while upgrading lighting with efficient LED fixtures where needed. This primary bathroom and sauna project exemplifies how a collaborative design-build approach can transform your vision into reality. By combining strategic space planning, custom craftsmanship, and budget-conscious decisions, we created a personalized wellness retreat that delivers both luxury and functionality.

- Creative Flow | Beaverton Kitchen Remodel
9Creative Flow | Beaverton Kitchen Remodel
Beaverton$200,001 - $500,000The small kitchen in this 1983 Beaverton home needed to be functional for two cooks. The existing kitchen layout was squeezed into a small space, creating a fragmented floor plan. When everything started to break down, the couple knew it was time to remodel the kitchen and make it more usable. With some creative rearranging, the kitchen was relocated to the unused formal living room for more space. The original kitchen became a dedicated laundry room with space for a walk-in pantry. The massive transformation created a better overall flow; all spaces are useful and fit the family’s lifestyle.
- Beaverton Kitchen Expansion
14Beaverton Kitchen Expansion
Beaverton$50,001 - $75,000The owners of this Beaverton home approached our team at Lamont Bros. Design & Construction with a vision to transform their kitchen into a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space. Despite having updated features like new cabinets, countertops, and appliances, the kitchen had some significant shortcomings in usability and storage. They presented our team with the challenge of reimagining their kitchen to meet their growing needs. The issues in this kitchen stemmed primarily from its layout. The space was cramped, with limited countertop area and inadequate cabint storage, which forced them to use wire baskets as a makeshift pantry. This lack of functionality made everyday kitchen activities often cumbersome and frustrating. To address these issues, our approach focused on enhancing the space without a complete overhaul of the existing structures. The original kitchen layout featured a bare wall with no cabinetry or countertop space. This stuck out as the part of the kitchen with the most opportunity for improvement. We added about 10 linear feet of additional cabinetry on the opposite wall. These cabinets were custom made to match the existing cabinets in the kitchen as closely as possible. Rather than attempt to match the existing countertops in the space, the homeowners chose a butcher block countertop to serve as an accent piece. The additional cabinetry and countertops not only expanded the workable surface area but also enhanced the kitchen's overall aesthetic. By choosing not to demolish the existing countertops, the homeowners were able to keep costs manageable while achieving the desired upgrade. The clients also wanted to remove the wall between the kitchen and their living room to open up the space and provide more natural light. When removing the wall completely turned out to be a major expense, we instead turned the wall into a half wall with bar-height seating. Additional butcher block countertop at this bar area further ties the kitchen's visual design together. To ensure design cohesiveness and a consistent aesthetic, we also installed new backsplash throughout the entire kitchen. The homeowners chose a blue porcelain subway tile to compliment the white cabinets and wood countertops. Post-remodel, the kitchen has become a central hub of activity. The homeowners now use it not just as a place for cooking but also for social gatherings thanks to the new open design. The additional counter space and storage solutions have significantly enhanced owner's comfort and ability to use their kitchen the way they want to. 7Paradise Found | Beaverton Bathroom Remodel
Beaverton$100,001 - $150,000Our repeat clients invited us back to remodel their primary and hall bathrooms in their 1983 Beaverton home. Both bathrooms were outdated and needed better storage solutions for the small areas. The outdated bathtub took up a good portion of the footprint of the small primary bathroom, not leaving much room for a shower. The new wet room design allows for creative space planning, brings the outside in, and provides the couple with the ultimate retreat that fits their Northwest Contemporary style.
