This even included a complete redesign of our kitchen. At the last minute, we discovered that our plan to reuse cabinets from the existing kitchen would not work, and we needed to completely gut the old kitchen and purchase a new one. This was not planned, but Mel took it in stride. Mel is thoroughly experienced as a contractor and builder. In particular, he demonstrated his skill as a carpenter by designing walls where we installed 2 electric fireplaces. His level of detail was apparent when installing ceiling tiles in the basement and in the quality of trim in the kitchen and en-suite bathroom. Mel works with a large number of experienced people. He has great contacts in the Hamilton area in all of the building trades and building supply companies. This includes an excellent painter, who did a lot of work for us. With any project, there are some loose ends which need to be tied up. Even though he had already moved on to another project, he still came back to finish up some minor details. We have no hesitation in recommending Mel for any renovation project.”

“I hired Gabriele and his company, Geometra Design in June 2012 to design a 3,500 square foot, 2 storey home that I will be building in south Etobicoke. Gabriele was able to complete concept design, committee of adjustment application and meeting, building permit design and application in less then 5 months. He was able to accomodate all aspects of the building permit requirements, including mechanical engineer, structural engineer and final renderings. His professionism and approach to the project, including deadlines was unsurpassed. He was able to facilitate all my needs, from design to building permit application (which in Toronto in not easy). His knowledge of the new digital building permit application requirements, made my application process very easy. I was told at the City of Toronto building department that most people do not have all the documents in the required format, but my application was perfect. I am very pleased with his work ethic and ability to respond to all requests.
