Barbara Holmes staged a home that my parents had lived in for years. Both passed away tragically and I realized eventually that I would need to sell. Barbara was recommended to me by a trusted friend. My daughter and I had an opportunity to visit the house after the listing went public and several showings had already occurred. I confess to having some trepidation when I imagined seeing my parents' beloved home filled with unfamiliar furnishings. When we opened the front door and peered inside, my first impression was that I was entering a unique and engaging space. Homes By Holmes staged our home in Placitas, NM. We moved out and the house was so empty, so lonely. Our realtor suggested staging as a positive move to generating interest. Our listing coincided with Barbara Holmes availability. Our contract was reasonable, but as important as cost was the line in the contract stating the staging would stay in place until the home sold. Every room was staged; not scantily furnished. Pictures, mirrors, rugs, throws, pillows, knick-knacks, towels were used appropriately. It took over a year to find the right buyer for our house. The house was staged until the papers were signed. I am sure staging was a factor in that sale. I am very thankful to Barbara Holmes.
