What an amazing change Barb made in this property. I put her together with one of my out of town clients who needed someone to come in and completely furnish the home they purchased to be near our wonderful Wilmington medical community. The client, who son is in a wheelchair, needed Barb to create a living space that was handicap accessible and pleasant to occupy for them both. Barb started with opening up the kitchen and breakfast area by lowering the traditional high bar and installing a beautiful granite bar that someone in a wheelchair could pull under to grab a snack or assist with cooking. The increase in light and accessibility is nothing short of fabulous!. Throughout the house she has created a comfortable, casual, coastal feel that makes you want to move right in and enjoy life. She shopped tirelessly for just the right furniture and furnishings to make life as easy as possible for this family. From creating a spa-like bedroom for the mother and a hunting themed bedroom and sitting space for the son, she has exceeded expectations on all levels! Barbara is incredibly professional and puts a lot of thought and effort into making sure that she had our best interests at heart and that we would be satisfied. We hired J-O-A-T in the summer of 2011, when we we planning a move into our new home. Barbara and her staff redesigned several elements of our home and she handled multiple remodeling and design projects prior to our move-in. Throughout the process, Barbara gave us frequent status updates, oversaw contractor work, and ensured our home was ready for move-in ahead of schedule. Not only did Barbara design several new structural elements within our house, she also assisted us with the furniture plan and overall design of the home, and managed the furniture order and delivery schedules. We were able to complete an effortless move in November. J-O-A-T put the icing on the cake when Barbara decorated the entire interior and exterior of our new home with Christmas decorations. We were able to host several holiday get-togethers in our home with virtually no holiday decorating stress. Barbara is hard-working, cost-conscious, and relentless in her attention to detail. We have used her services since that initial move and are always impressed with the scope of her skills. 5 stars may not be a high enough rating if you are looking for someone to help you with design, organization, cleaning, furniture refurbishment, exterior and interior planning, and everything in between.

Barbara is a joy to work with. She is truely Jane on the spot. Creative, professional, budget conscious and efficient describe her work.. Barbara helped me with remodeling a bedroom into guest suite in my personal home. She listened to my ideas and incorporated her gift of decorating, color, style and budget into my project.
