The Spirited Design

Jan helped me design a beautiful, peaceful space for my family. She was an excellent guide, providing ideas and choices that fit my vision. From the smallest detail to major purchases, Jan was by my side! Because of her, I now walk into my home and feel the peace and joy I had been looking for.

I met Jan when she was staging the condo next door to me. The condo sold very quickly, unlike other units in the building. We subsequently hired her to redesign the lobby in our building. It was rather tired looking after 10 years. We completed phase 1 of the project in 2018 and will continue work on phase 2 in 2019. This year I hired her to redo my bathrooms. She was able to create a design which would reuse the existing vanities and other fixtures, while updating the tub in one bathroom and shower in the other. She has a great eye for color which is reflected in paint and tile colors. And she respected my style.

Janice was at my side for a whole-house renovation which involved a myriad of selections including countertops, flooring, kitchen/bath plumbing and lighting fixtures, tile, paint colors, as well as furniture, window treatments, decor accessories ... literally every aspect of creating a comfortable and welcoming home to be proud of! Her sense of color, scale and style is exceptional and most importantly, Jan listens to her clients. She not only understands and cares about what they enjoy and need to surround themselves with in their living space, she does not rest until she is certain they adore each selection. With support, patience and empathy, Jan easily and expertly guided me through the decision making process, which without her would have been overwhelming. She always made sure we stayed within the budget outlined for the project. Her love for what she does, coupled with her kind, gracious and deeply caring personality, make Jan an absolute joy to work with! When you become her client, you can't help but also become her friend!

Jan is a creative, responsive designer. Always smiling - happy to help in any way that you need. She is respective to questions and ideas. I've been so happy to find someone with her knowledge that is not turned off by small projects. She has been a great resource for me at my office space and I plan to use her for my home project as well.

Loved Janice, she comes in very opened minded. Listens to what you think and want. Very easy to work with. Had a lot of great ideas.

We really enjoyed working with Janice. She was patient, listened and understood what we trying to do. Janice has a fabulous eye for color and for fabric. She helped us put the finishing touches on our living room and family room and we couldn't be happier. Janice was very efficient with her time and ours and was incredibly easy to work with. Jan was so wonderful with helping me decorate and design my new home. She is very attentive to detail, and she was able to capture my personal style perfectly. She has an eye for choosing beautiful pieces and color combinations that I could have never done on my own. Jan was also very personable, professional, and fun to work with. I love my home now!

Jan was a pleasure to work with. She really listened to us and tailored her suggestions to match our style, while at the same time honestly steering us away from ideas she felt wouldn't work. Jan was able to envision how all the components of our kitchen upgrade would work together, seeing the big picture while at the same time paying attention to the small details that made the finished product way exceed our expectations. It started 12 years ago when Janice Weinstein gave new life to our dated beach house. We started with a cute small house that we doubled in size. Janice helped us execute this project with her vast knowledge and creativity using color and materials, yet understood our need to participate fully in the process. The result was a beautiful and comfortable home that was perfect for us. She guided us utilizing our ideas and enhancing our vision as opposed to imposing an impersonal and generic styling. Later my husband used Janice to decorate his 4 offices. He has received many compliments on the colors, fabrics and choices of chairs for his offices. I can't say enough about working with Janice. I can't wait to do it again!

Janice is FABULOUS! Attentive, a great listener, cost conscious, and she really goes the extra mile. I LOVE the bedroom and living room upgrades she did for me. They are my favorite rooms!

Working with Janice on our kitchen remodel was an outstanding experience. She really listened beyond my words to capture the feeling that we wanted for our kitchen space. Her knowledge of materials, lighting, color, and texture is impressive. She guided the design process to create a lovely room within our budget. Most of all, her warmth and caring spirit make her an amazing designer.
